KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing detailed designs.

- Perform technical review on specifications to ensure completeness, and exactness, and to remove restrictive descriptions to ensure competitive bidding.
- Incorporate special features, which relate to the project at hand into specifications. These include order of work, physical conditions at the site, construction work schedules, method of payment and measurement, construction procedures and special methods, and coordination with contractors and other stakeholders.
- Analyse survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects.
- Plan and design transportation or hydraulic systems and structures, following construction and government standards, using design software and drawing tools.
- Compute load and grade requirements, water flow rates, and material stress factors to determine design specifications.
- Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards.
- Direct construction, operations, and maintenance activities at project site.
- Direct or participate in surveying to lay out installations and establish reference points, gates, and elevations to guide construction.
- Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labour to determine project feasibility.
- Prepare or present public reports, such as bid proposals, deeds, environmental impact statements, and property and right-of-way descriptions.
- Test soils and materials to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations, concrete, asphalt, or steel.
- Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, or program modifications and structural repairs to industrial and managerial personnel.
- Conducting studies of traffic patterns or environmental conditions to identify engineering problems and assess the potential impact of projects.
REQUIRED LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, accredited by the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE)

· Minimum of 1 year post graduate experience in the construction industry gained either in a design office or on construction projects
· Good knowledge of the construction industry, design and construction process with all relevant technical disciplines associated with Hilti applications/products
· Good analytical skills to identify construction trends to help guide engineering and sales team
· Strong skills in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
· High performer who has an achiever mentality, career driven, self-disciplined and supportive
