Pick-Nik Marketing (Pty) Ltd manufactures, markets, and distributes tissue and hygiene products through both Retail and Business-to-Business channels across South Africa and neighbouring countries. Our Head Office and operational manufacturing facilities are based in Kempton Park, Gauteng.
We are currently seeking 2x highly capable Material Handlers to join our Converting Production team based in Chloorkop. Reporting to the Raw Materials Warehouse Controller, the successful candidates will play a vital role in supporting production by ensuring the accurate and timely movement of materials within the facility.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Load and unload trucks or containers with goods and materials.
- Move raw materials and products to the correct areas in the warehouse or factory.
- Make sure loads are packed and placed correctly to keep things running smoothly.
- Secure items properly before moving them with a forklift or other machines.
- Check forklifts and other equipment for any damage.
- Report when forklifts or machines need service or repairs.
- Safely use forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Use RF scanners or other tools to keep track of stock and materials.
- Pick, pack, and wrap products for delivery or use in production.
- Watch for any safety risks or hazards and report them.
- Always follow company safety rules and procedures.
- Follow the daily production schedule and work plan.
- Sort, label, weigh, and pack materials as per instructions.
- Move and place goods around the warehouse or factory as needed.
- Drive and handle forklifts safely, following all driving and safety rules.
- Help keep accurate records of stock and report when items are missing or damaged.
- Use quiet times to help with general warehouse tasks.
- Prepare goods for shipping using forklifts and manual labour.
- Load, unload, and place items using your hands or machines, depending on the situation.
- Stack empty pallets neatly and safely.
- Use forklift controls to lift, move, and stack goods properly.
- Find and collect the right items in the warehouse for transport.
- Make sure all materials are handled safely and sent to the right place.
- Help with general warehouse work when needed.
- Check that loads are correct and move them safely and on time.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Grade 12
- Forklift License a must.
- PPT License (Advantage)
- Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in a Warehousing/FMCG environment
- Experience in the use of digital scanners in the picking environment
- Strong computer literacy
- Self-driven with a strong sense of accountability
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong adherence to procedures and process control
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Tolerance for repetitive tasks with a focus on consistency and quality

Job Overview:
Safe offloading of the Bulk and Raw Materials for storage and distribution to Warehouse areas in accordance with standard procedures while maintaining quality, safety and efficiency standards.
- Unloading and loading of Raw Materials, Grit, Corn, Oil, Nitrogen, Seasoning, Corrugates, Pallets and Packaging Materials
- Bulk offloading of Corn, Oil and Corn Meal into Silos and Oil Tanks, Nitrogen, Gas
- Transport raw materials to production workstations
- Keeping RMS stores clean and maintaining GMP practices including housekeeping, stacking pallets and disposing of waste including obsolete stock
