Job Description

As our Millwright Shifts of your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Safety, Health, and Environment
    • Adhere to all health and safety practices and requirements.
    • Promote good housekeeping to ensure compliance and an environment where team members can deliver their outputs within a controlled risk environment.
    • "Exemplify" all relevant safety standards and procedures as a positive example for learners to follow and prioritise in their work practices.
  • Performance and Delivery
  • Equipment Maintenance:
    • Assemble and install machinery and equipment according to blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate and precise placement.
    • Maintain and test all equipment/machinery to ensure functionality, safety, and availability to complete work within the specified timeframe and budgetary limits.
    • Perform regular maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns, which includes lubrication, alignment, and replacement of worn or defective parts.
    • When machinery malfunctions or breaks down, diagnose the issue, identify the faulty components, and do the necessary repairs. This may involve welding, machining, or replacing parts to restore functionality.
    • Use precision tools to align and level machinery accurately, as proper alignment is crucial for efficient and safe equipment operation.
    • Perform welding and fabrication tasks to modify or create machinery components, including building structures, brackets, or supports.
  • The Work: Key Outputs and Accountabilities
    • Execute work according to Operating Model standards and procedures.
    • Complete job cards thoroughly and return them on time.
    • Keep all toolboxes and tools in clean and sound condition.
  • Assistance and Practices:
    • Assist supervisor and co-workers when required within company policies, procedures, and guidelines to enhance teamwork objectives.
    • Advice on all maintenance-related matters and tactics to concerned parties proactively aligned with best practices and within agreed-upon timeframes to avoid possible problems and uplift the competence base.
    • Ensure proper communication and handover of outstanding tasks between shifts and dayshift teams.
  • Learner / Co-worker Coaching:
    • Provide accurate and understandable information and continuous on-the-job training to assist learners/team members in acquiring the required competencies and addressing shortcomings.
    • Supervise work practices and skills of learners/team members to ensure performance on the required level and compliance with company policies and procedures.

This role is in Engineering & Maintenance (ENG) department on a band 9 level reporting to the Supervisor

Qualifications
  • Grade 12 Certificate / N3 Technical
  • Trade Certificate as a Millwright
  • SA Drivers Licence

Technical Knowledge

  • Possessing 5 years of experience as a Millwright.
  • Demonstrating awareness of safety standards.
  • Familiarity with company policies and procedures.
  • Understand the specific functionality of the discipline's equipment, tools, and machinery.
  • Competence in technical assessment.

The Role

The role of the Registered Nurse is to provide comprehensive nursing care and support to clients, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care plans to ensure optimal health outcomes

This is a part time position working 60 hours per fortnight with shifts from 7:00am to 1:00pm, Monday to Friday across various residential facilities in the Northern Suburbs.

As part of the Hospitality Permanent Pool NOR, flexibility is key to meeting the required needs across multiple sites. This staffing model involves employees being part of a centralised pool, allowing them to be assigned to different locations within the NOR cluster. It offers increased flexibility for both employees and employers.

  • Your rostered shift may occasionally change on the day based on operational needs.
  • No Fixed Site Assignment: Employees are not permanently based at a single site. Instead, they are deployed to different locations within a predefined group of sites as needed.

A leading pharmaceutical company has a vacancy for a Laboratory Analyst to perform chemical testing on Finished Product and Water Samples.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that the samples received agree to the Production Program and label copy.
  • Ensures the correct procedures are followed.
  • All results are correctly calculated to determine acceptability.
  • Ensures samples are taken at the correct process steps and released timeously.
  • Ensures that the monthly water points are sampled and tested timeously.
  • Tests finished products using current pharmacopoeias/SOP associated with ‘wet’ chemistry and instrumental techniques (HPLC, IR, UV, AA, FTIR, Flame photometer etc.), as appropriate.
  • Initiates an out of specification investigation form and reports failing results to the Supervisor/Manager during failures.
  • Ensures that equipment is calibrated and validated before use by checking the calibration.
  • Ensures that samples after analysis are defaced and discarded in the waste area.

Requirements
  • BSc Degree or National Diploma in Chemistry.
  • 2-3 years Lab experience in Pharmaceutical Industry.
  • HPLC experience in Pharmaceuticals Quality Control Laboratory will be an advantage.

The Role

The role of a Multi Skilled Carer is to assist residents with their activities of daily living by aiding with personal care, domestic tasks and social support. Incumbents are cross trained in different areas to meet the varying needs of the residents.

This is a part time position working 60 hours per fortnight with shifts from 3:00pm to 9:00pm, Monday to Friday across various residential facilities in the Southern Suburbs.

Flexible Staffing Across Multiple Locations

As part of the Hospitality Permanent Pool SOR, flexibility is key to meeting the required needs across multiple sites. This staffing model involves employees being part of a centralised pool, allowing them to be assigned to different locations within the SOR cluster. It offers increased flexibility for both employees and employers.

Your rostered shift may occasionally change on the day based on operational needs.

No Fixed Site Assignment: Employees are not permanently based at a single site . Instead, they are deployed to different locations within a predefined group of sites as needed.

You may be required to work at different sites within your contracted hours to address clinical requirements.

Expectations from Employees: Flexibility to adapt to different sites, workflows, and team dynamics. Capability to quickly integrate into new environments while maintaining productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support resident’s physical, social, emotional, psychological, and spiritual wellbeing through individualised care delivery
  • Assist with resident’s care needs in line with their care plan
  • Collaborate with team members to promote a harmonious working environment
  • Support and advocate the rights of older people
  • Assist with personal hygiene, showering and toileting
  • Assist with activities of daily living, dressing and grooming
  • Assist at mealtimes including feeding
  • Administer medication

About You

As a Carer, you will foster meaningful, positive relationships with our residents while providing personal care and support tailored to their individual needs. You’ll create a warm and nurturing environment, offering care with compassion, respect, and dignity.

Essential Criteria

  • Evidence of COVID-19 and Current 2024 Flu vaccinations per Amana Living policies
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity)
  • Successful completion of pre-employment physical and reference checks
  • Certificate III/IV in Individual Support – Aging
  • Willing to attend a compulsory 7 day induction at our Rivervale Training Institute
  • NDIS Screen Check (or willingness to obtain at interview stage)
  • Previous experience administering medications (desirable)
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to develop understanding relationships with residents.

A leading pharmaceutical company has a vacancy for an Instrument Qualification Analyst (shift work) to coordinate and assist in performance of installation, calibration, maintenance of instruments.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs assigned PMs and calibration on laboratory equipment, and reports changes or repairs needed.
  • Updates the Calibration status of all analytical Instruments.
  • When the calibration limits for instrument is out of limit to refer to manuals and communicate with the supplier for any problems.
  • Updates and files equipment history, process, documents and results of all work performed.
  • Performs a routine scheduled maintenance.
  • Communicate with the supplier for any repairs and maintenance of general laboratory equipment.
  • Coordinates and assist in performance of installation, calibration, maintenance and IQ/OQ/PQ activities.
  • Initiate, review, and approve equipment repair, calibration/qualification and change control document.
  • Trains department personnel on calibration concepts and procedures.
  • Initiate and update new SOP’s.
  • Ensures that all equipment has dedicated SOP’s and instrument manuals available.
  • Follows Safety and GLP requirements as instructed.
  • Completes GLP and Safety audit-findings timeously as per the stipulated target dates.
Requirements
  • BSc Degree with a major in Microbiology or National Diploma in Microbiology/Bacteriology/Medical Technology/Chemistry.
  • Practical experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
  • Computer Literate.
