Security Training Manager
- Developing and implementing comprehensive security training programs for employees to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Assessing training needs and identifying gaps in security knowledge and skills.
- Designing and delivering engaging and interactive training sessions, workshops, and online modules to enhance security awareness and knowledge.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate security training into onboarding and ongoing professional development programs.
- Staying up to date with the latest security threats, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure training content is current and relevant.
- Reporting to the Contract Manager on training completed and upcoming training and Toolbox Talks.
- Serving as a stand-in Contract Manager and Shift Manager when necessary.
- Consolidating monthly reports to BPC Management & Administration.
- Maintaining training records and documentation to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory standards.
- Conducting regular audits and inspections to identify potential security vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions.
- Serving as a subject matter expert on security-related topics and participating in incident response activities as needed.
- Assisting the Contract Manager with site compliance, including posting requirements, uniform compliance, and post checks.
Preferred qualifications / attributes / skills :
- PSIRA Grade A
- Minimum 3 years control room experience
- Minimum 3 years junior supervisory experience
- Knowledge of OHSA and PSIRA Act
- Basic knowledge of electronic security equipment
- Knowledge of legal aspects in a security environment
- Computer literacy (MS Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Report writing skills
- Effective communication skills to convey complex security concepts to diverse audiences
