Our client in the Financial Services Industry based in KZN is currently looking to employ a Financial Advisor (Risk Products).
To provide and implement advice in respect of insurance needs and solutions to the company clients in conjunction with the company's Partner. Afrikaans first language preferred.

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Broker Consultant / Life Insurance Agent, etc.
- Ability to function at a strategic level whilst fulfilling operational responsibilities.
- Meet the FAIS honesty, integrity, and good standing requirements.
- Meet the FAIS minimum experience requirements in respect of long-term insurance products.
- Must not have been declared insolvent or provisionally insolvent.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Client-oriented, with strong interpersonal skills and able to take the initiative (self-starter).
- Emotional resilience.
- Appropriate tertiary qualification (bachelor’s degree in commerce, finance, investments preferable).
- Have a qualification recognised by the FSCA for FAIS purposes. Preference will be given to candidates with a CFP.
- Have completed relevant class of business and product-specific training.
- FAIS compliant (continuous professional development).
- Completed supervision for long-term insurance categories.
- Fully computer literate, xPlan experience advantageous.
Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:
- Analyse and identify Life and Short-Term Insurance (STI) opportunities within the client bases of their panel of financial planning partners' practice.
- Prepare comprehensive advice documents (proposals, comparisons, and quotations) for presentation to clients.
- Provide specialist advice in respect of Life Insurance (Death, Disability, and Critical Cover) needs. This will include specialist areas such as Estate Planning and Business Assurance.
- Implement the agreed solution for clients and manage underwriting and other onboarding requirements.
- Review clients' cover according to internal business procedures, or if client circumstances change.
- Acquire short-term insurance leads from the company’s financial planning partners.
- On receipt of the client’s consent, refer these clients to the STI tele-advisor, book an appointment for the client with the tele-advisor, and forward any existing short-term insurance schedules to the STI tele-advisor for capture prior to the appointment.
- Communicate and receive confirmation from the STI tele-advisor that the appointment has taken place and the outcome of the appointment.
- Maintain and develop client relationships.
- Support and contribute to company initiatives to communicate to, educate, and engage clients in order to better meet their needs.
- Monitor and report on the success and implementation of client and partner-focused initiatives.
- Adhere to the culture and principles of TCF – treating customers fairly.
- Comply with Group and Industry regulatory requirements.

A reputable and growing business is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant , with strong tax experience, to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the full accounting function, tax compliance, and supporting the business with accurate financial reporting and analysis. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in accounting, paired with a deep understanding of tax legislation and requirements, who is eager to grow in a fast-paced and professional environment.
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements
- Handle VAT, PAYE, and other statutory submissions
- Prepare and submit corporate income tax returns (ITR14)
- Assist with tax planning and ensure compliance with current tax legislation
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and perform reconciliations
- Prepare audit packs and liaise with external Auditors during audits
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
- Assist with SARS correspondence and tax queries
- Ensure that all financial and tax records are maintained in compliance with the relevant regulations
- Provide support on ad hoc finance and tax projects as needed
- BCom Accounting or similar qualification (SAIPA/SAICA articles advantageous)
- Minimum 3–5 years accounting experience with a strong focus on tax
- Solid knowledge of South African tax laws and regulations
- Experience preparing and submitting SARS tax returns
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, CaseWare, or similar)
- Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail
- Deadline-driven, with good problem-solving skills and initiative
- Experience with trusts or group structures
- Working knowledge of eFiling and related SARS platforms
- Exposure to IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
