Your Responsibilities Will Include but Are Not Limited To:

  • Reviewing and proofreading documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with legal procedures.
  • Organizing and maintaining electronic files following firm protocols.
  • Assisting the Paralegal in managing case files, including tracking deadlines, court dates, and documents.
  • Preparing and maintaining case summaries, client files, and other legal materials.
  • Ensuring timely follow-up on case matters and communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and courts as directed.
  • Drafting client correspondence and maintaining communication via phone, email, or client portal.

  • Providing clients with necessary forms, instructions, and information regarding their cases.

  • Working closely with the Paralegal and attorney to ensure smooth workflow and case progress.
  • Participating in team meetings to discuss case statuses and updates.

  • At least one to two years of experience in a legal assistant or administrative role
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a legal setting (family law preferred)
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and court procedures, particularly in family law

  • Familiarity with legal document drafting and proofreading, case file organization, deadline tracking, legal research, and evidence gathering
