Our client between Stellenbosch and Brackenfell is in need of an Export Documentation Controller to accurately complete the required documentation needed per shipment as per the Consignee instruction within the required timeframes per document.
Duties & Responsibilities- Diploma in Shipping, Clearing and Freight Forwarding, Distribution and Logistics Business Management or related field (Desirable).
- A minimum of 2-years’ experience in Freight Forwarding and Logistics experience (Preferably export related).
- After hours availability is essential.
- Ability to identify the needs in the team and assist where needed.
- To have working knowledge of Google Workspace / Excel / Inttra.
- To have the ability to read and interpret shipping documentation.
- Resilient with the ability to work under pressure and meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to manage workload and prioritize.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Fast learner in internal and external computer systems and processes.
- Ability to work with multiple key stakeholders both internal and external in dynamic industry changing environment.

Our client is seeking an Export Coordinator to join their team, based in Montague Gardens, Cape Town.
Successful candidate will ensure the efficiency and productivity of the Warehouse and distribution functions of the Exports department.
Minimum Requirements:-
- Matric
- Minimum 5 year’s relevant work experience
- 5 Year’s warehousing experience + 3 year’s supervising staff
- Food industry / Manufacturing industry advantageous
- Must be able to multi-task
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Good working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Knowledge of Warehouse ERP systems
- Processing and dispatching of export orders
- Consolidating shipments
- Arranging packing and dispatch
- Collating and supplying all required documentation
- Liaising with Supply Chain and other warehouses
- Stock control
- Communication with branches
- Dispatch of urgent orders via courier
- General department administration (logistics)
- Receiving return shipments and interbranch transfers (notifying branches of differences)
- Managing picking schedules
- Supervising Picking staff
- Supervising the loading of trucks and containers, and verifying shipment accuracy
- Control of export documentation (packing lists, truck manifests)

We specialize in the export of FMCG's, fruit and vegetables, meat, wines and building materials to over 55 countries throughout the world. Experiencing exponential growth in recent years, we are continuously seeking to expand our dynamic and diverse team.
Based in Morningside, Durban, we seek an experienced Export Coordinator with exports expertise of FMCG and fresh produce to international clients. The position would be responsible for executing the export transactions within the policies and guidelines of the company and working closely with the Business Development and Key Account Managers to assist them deliver on current and new business opportunities.
The position plays a key role in the liaison between the company, its suppliers, shippers and customers and carries the responsibility for maintaining high standards of competence, professionalism and service.
Key Responsibilities include the following:
- Respond to enquiries or provide quotes for potential and existing clients.
- Implement financial procedures for confirmed orders
- Execute confirmed orders / negotiate shipping and operational requirements / issue shipping instructions / supplier confirmation / documentation / stock control (expiry dates etc) / shipping file cover / communication with clients / follow up on actual shipment
- Business Development and Key Accounts Manager support and backup.
Minimum Experience Required:
- Knowledge of the Export process
- INCO Terms
- Export Costings expertise
- Experience with exportation of mixed goods containers
- Experience with the exportation of fresh produce

- Strong knowledge of export controls (Required).
- Experience with Free Trade Agreements and classifications under the WCO Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).
- Familiarity with US Export Administration Regulations and global sanctions frameworks, including EU and US sanctions and embargo programs.
- Knowledge of Global Trade Management systems, such as SAP-GTS.
- Certified Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) is a plus.

Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in law, International Relations, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience interpreting legislative texts and judicial rulings affecting compliance, with proven ability to operationalize court decisions.
