The successful candidate for the above position will be expected to:

• Have experience teaching Mathematics to senior high school students.
• Preferably possess an understanding and working knowledge of the CAMBRIDGE CURRICULUM at IGCSE & AS Level.
• Be a holistic teacher who can also focus on achieving good results.
• Be a dynamic and motivated educator who has a strong personal philosophy of education.
• Enhance the students’ competence/performance/achievement in, and enthusiasm for learning.
• Maintain high standards of classroom practice and work collaboratively with colleagues.
• Be available and willing to support functions/activities when required.
• Have competent interpersonal and communication skills.
• High level of computer skills.
• Be willing and able to participate/coach/offer an extra-curricular sport or club.
• Commitment to the ethos and values of the school.

Biology & Environmental Management Sciences Teacher | IGCSE – AS Level International Cambridge.

Commence Sept 2025.

To Do:

Responsibilities :

• Conduct 40- to 45-minute conversation - based group and private online lessons with adult learners.
• Provide after class reports to all students, detailing their progress and on-going recommendations for improvement.
• Attend ongoing trainings, which is an essential requirement in EF’s superior teaching products.
• With more experience, create your own custom lesson material.

Work Hours

Full time Teachers work on a fixed schedule.

Hours: 8 hours per day / 40 hours a week

Gross Monthly Salary (incl. Transportation Allowance): R8,493.00

Days: Tuesday to Saturday

Time: 09:00 - 18:00

Days: Wednesday to Sunday

Time: 09:00 - 18:00

Gross Monthly Salary (incl. Transportation Allowance): R10,019.00

Requirements:

• South African Residency. You must live in South Africa and be in possession of a South African identity card.
• C2 level English speaker with a neutral accent
• Completed Bachelor’s degree or a qualification equivalent to NQF Level 7 (Compulsory)
• TEFL teaching qualifications (Preferred). If you do not have a TEFL qualification, EF will provide you with a TEFL course and must be completed within the first month of your contract.
• Highly computer literate
• Required to work from our office in Cape Town city centre
• Professional, energetic, and excited about people
• Previous teaching experience is a plus, but not required. Other work experience counts.
