Requirements: Minimum educational qualification: Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as Medical Specialist in Psychiatry. Registration with Professional council: Registration with the HPCSA as Medical Specialist in Psychiatry. Experience: Grade 1: None after registration with the HPCSA as Medical Specialist in Psychiatry. Grade 2: A minimum of five (5) years appropriate experience as Medical Specialist after registration with the HPCSA (or recognised foreign Health Professional Council in respect of foreign qualified employees) as Medical Specialist in Psychiatry. Create a learning environment for junior staff, and students, both under- and postgraduate as required.
