About the Role
We’re seeking a driven and experienced Event Manager to oversee the delivery of high-quality corporate and public events. This role is responsible for conceptualisation, planning, implementation, financial management, and client retention. What You’ll Do
Manage events end-to-end: from concept, planning, implementation, and reporting to debrief.
Draft and manage budgets, financial reconciliations, and procurement processes.
Oversee supplier contracts, SLAs, and compliance with OHS, POPI, and client policies.
Interpret client briefs and convert them into clear, actionable project plans.
Deliver creative proposals and tenders in collaboration with internal and external partners.
Build sustainable client relationships and identify opportunities for new business.
Provide detailed project documentation including rollout plans, risk analyses, and reports.
Ensure delivery of profitable projects aligned with divisional and company objectives.
What You Bring
Minimum 7 years’ experience in event management, including at least 3 years managing large corporate or public events.
Tertiary qualification in event management, project management, marketing, or hospitality (advantageous).
Strong financial and procurement management skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and lead teams effectively.
Advanced computer literacy (Microsoft Office); knowledge of Flooid or similar systems is beneficial.
Willingness to travel, work overtime, and be away from home as required.
