Job Responsibilities:

  • Promote Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) to stakeholders driving EHS strategy, fostering and Promoting Safety Culture, coaching, enabling, promoting and encouraging safe working practices and behaviors promoting Target Zero Culture.
  • Develop and implement business policies and procedures, client ways of working, setting implementation strategies, planning and reviewing E/// EHS standards
  • Manage internal and External audit regime,
  • Support validation of E// EHS standards.
  • Promote and encourage all internal and external personnel to report incidents, near misses' hazards and safety suggestions.
  • Support Accident and Incident Investigation and complete a Root Cause Analysis report into any high-risk internal incident / accident investigation
  • Provide internal training / toolbox talks on EHS relevant topics and lessons learned, updates or new and emerging risks relevant to the business.
  • Any other duties to support EHS management with project / region as determined by senior management.

Key Qualifications:

  • University degree or equivalent experience in Environmental Health and Safety field
  • EHS Internal / External Audit experience (ISO:14001/45001)
  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to maintain relationships at all levels across all stakeholders.
  • Ability to effectively assess EHS needs
  • Extensive experience in working in high-risk environments, including working at height.
  • Extensive experience working with contractors and suppliers.
  • Awareness of hazards involved in construction such as Asbestos Awareness
  • Excellent interpersonal, social and communication skills

    Overview: 

    Our client in the automotive sector is looking to employ a SHE Coordinator to identify and eliminate potential risks in the workplace.

    Minimum Requirements: 

    • Grade 12/Matric
    • National Diploma in Safety Management / Environmental Health
    • SAMTRAC
    • 5 Years min relevant manufacturing plant-specific SHE Experience
    • Sound knowledge of ISO 14001 and 45001 standards
    • Computer Literate

    Responsibilities:

    SHE Policies and Procedures:

    • Ensure implementation and compliance of SHE Policies and Procedures
    • Operate according to standard operating procedures and within the parameters of applicable legislation

    SHE Management:

    • Implement and maintain adherence to safe working practices and policies
    • Monitor compliance to safety, health and environmental requirements in the workplace
    • Maintain health, safety and security standards are always maintained
    • Conduct Planned Task Observations and take appropriate action to address identified risks
    • Raising awareness in workplaces by influencing and engaging

    SHE Management System:

    • Comply with the requirements of the SHE Management system
    • Organize and implement administrative systems and procedures performing necessary support duties

    SHE Audits:

    • Conduct SHE Audits daily, weekly, monthly
    • Raise and action any issues identified with the relevant HOD

    Risk Assessment:

    • Identify potential hazards and critical safety issues in the workplace
    • Conduct risk assessments daily and update records of any improvements and changes required

    Emergencies:

    • Deal with safety, health, and environmental emergencies

    Incident/Accident Investigations:

    • Conduct preliminary incident investigations into workplace health, safety and environmental incidents

    SHE Administration:

    • Maintain and update SHE Notice Boards
    • Compile and complete monthly SHE reports

    Our International client within the Public Health space is seeking a Director to join their SA team. This individual will need to have had experience at this level or have been in a role such as Senior Manager.

    Our client's focus is communication, advocacy, research, and strategy. The areas of partnerships would be NGOs, Governments, Foundations, Academic Institutions including product development partnerships focusing within Public Health, Climate change as well as the Developmental space.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Areas of focus

    1. Communication : Strong writing skills essential, including writing for projects and programs, as well as preparing press/media releases.
    2. Project Management : Developing and executing communications and advocacy strategies for clients and partners, focused on major regional health and development challenges. Overseeing project finances and developing budgets.
    3. Client Management : Being the main contact person for various clients on assigned projects, working with donors and funders.

    As a Director within our client's organization, you will be involved in various areas, from forming strategies for clients to communication, seeing each project through, as well as managing several projects and people simultaneously.

    Desired Experience & Qualification

    Required

    No less than 8 years of experience required within the Public Health advocacy space.

    Qualification

    Degree in Communication, Journalism, Economics, or Public Health.

    Package & Remuneration

    To be discussed, R900 ctc upwards.
