Role Responsibilities
- Responsible for design and modelling within municipal services realm, with strong emphasis on Water Projects, this would typically be from planning to detailed design and construction drawings, specific to land development and municipal infrastructure (Roads, stormwater, water, sewer, telecoms, bulk earthworks).
- Perform complex engineering designs, calculations, and analysis of civil-related infrastructure across the full lifecycle of the project, i.e. planning, design and implementation which includes construction and completion.
- Responsible for the design of municipal services water and wastewater infrastructure systems with key contributions on 3D models, technical drawings and details.
- Supporting with the management of civil engineering related projects.
- Sound knowledge in the use of a variety of civil engineering analysis software. Advanced professional competency and working knowledge of CAD Software.
- Assist in the preparation of project specifications, BoQs, cost estimates and tender documentation.
- Prepare reports required by the project, implementation of all relevant codes of practice and ensuring that all work complies with Zutari 's quality control procedures.
- Knowledge and experience of working with relevant engineering codes, standards, and practices and specifically SANS 1200.
- Working as part of a team, supporting the Project Leader whilst possessing the capability to take the lead on project designs.
- Ensure the quality of drawings produced and that the required drawing standards are maintained.
- Undertake construction supervision duties when required.
Minimum Requirements
- BSc/BEng/BTech/Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering. A postgraduate qualification would be advantageous.
- Registered with ECSA as a Candidate and eligible for professional registration with ECSA within 2 years.
- Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience as a designer in Infrastructure projects.
- Professional proficiency in the use of Autodesk Civil3D and REVIT.
- Proficiency and knowledge in the use of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in Civil Designer Software and/or similar products such as Bentley Water/SewerGEMS for Hydraulic modelling would advantageous.
- Ability to communicate in IsiXhosa and a valid drivers license would be advantageous.

- Excellent communication skills externally and internally, both written and spoken.

- Strong organisational (ability to plan and implement) and time management skills.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:Â
- National Diploma in Electrical / Mechatronics.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Automation.
- E-PLAN, an added advantage.
- Electronic Systems & Electronic troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of electrical processes and knowledge of South African standards, i.e. SANS 10142 and international standards.
- Project management.
- Quality focus and analyse information.Â
Competencies:

- Intermediate MS Office proficiency.
- Electronics Testing Design.

- Develop control concepts and hardware selection for Automation systems based on RFQ's and engineering principles.
- Detail electrical design (PowerPoint/Visio) to be presented to customer for sign-off.
- Prepare detail electrical manufacturing and site installation plan.
- Pre commission and commissioning of equipment.
- Document and generate reports.
- Site safety implementation while commissioning of plant.
- Supervise and support an electrical project manufacture and installation team.
- Standby and callouts.
- Plan and execute project/s (electrical).
