What you'll be doing

Key Roles and Responsibilities :

Analyse problems and formulate IAM solutions based on organizations boundaries, architectures, and constraints - Needs to be achievable and operational, must push boundaries when required and continuously push for improvements.

Collaborate and communicate and obtain buy-in from key technical and business stakeholders.

Decomposition of the solution and assisting with the scheduling / sequencing work.

Flesh out designs and contribute to functional and non-functional requirement with definite consideration of user and risk impact.

Use a wide spectrum of security and technical expertise to contribute to the modernisation of critical components of the Cyber Defense.

Significant growth in the need for robust Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions as a foundation to Cyber related defenses

Requirements :

BSc (Computer Science) / BCom (Information Systems)

10 years in IT-related functions

5 years in Design, experience in Security Domain required.

Security Domain-related certifications preferable.

End-to-end environment with front-end, integration, automated workflow and back-end processing. (Linux, Microsoft Wintel, Java, Java scripting, Angular, etc.)

Technical Knowledge :

IT Concepts and Architecture

Systems Analysis and Design

Security Concepts

Cloud infrastructure and DevOps deployments (tools & practice)

  • Team Leadership - Manage resources through providing guidance, mentorship, and support to aid team members in meeting project and operational commitments. Galvanising the existing team into a high functioning development team.
  • Strategic Direction - Drive the evolution of the OneX strategy in alignment with TFG board objectives.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience working with engineering teams in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating the ability to juggle multiple projects, stay organized, and prioritize deadlines effectively
  • Proven experience in software development (.Net, C#) and technical leadership roles, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects
  • Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices, with hands-on experience in backend and frontend development

About the Role

As a Software Engineering Lead, you will manage and guide a diverse team of engineers, working closely with management and other stakeholders to ensure the success of your team and its deliverables. This role requires strong technical skills, good communication, and great leadership abilities. Your responsibilities include technical and administrative decision-making, performance and code reviews, mentorship, and strategic direction.

Responsibilities

• Leading a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Overseeing software development processes, ensuring best practices and coding standards are followed.
• Designing, developing, and implementing complex software solutions that align with business objectives.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements and drive project execution.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges while ensuring high system performance and reliability.
• Conducting code reviews and enforcing quality assurance measures.
• Managing team performance, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Staying up to date on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.

Requirements

• Have experience in software engineering with leadership or mentorship experience.
• Have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Be proficient in dot net, C#, Angular, GIT including SQL and data manipulation.
• Have hands-on experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Have solid understanding of data modelling, database design, and multiple storage subsystems.
• Be able to troubleshoot complex software issues and implement effective solutions.
• Have experience managing software development projects, including planning and execution.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.

About the Role

This position serves as a subject matter expert for a specific team of Software Engineers. In addition to writing code on complex systems and applications, this position provides direction on project plans, schedules, and methodologies. The position has direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Providing design input across a product
  • Acting as an acknowledged 'go to' person on coding and technical issues, for both internal and external contacts
  • Interfacing with other personnel or team members to finalize requirements
  • Completing complex bug fixes, and resolving technical issues
  • Designing and working with complex data models
  • Mentoring lead software developers interested in consultancy in development methodologies and optimization techniques


Requirements

  • Have a BS degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Have minimum 7 years Software Development experience
  • Be expert in development languages, including C#, Angular, AWS
  • Strong experience with various resource models such as Managed Services and/or Staff Augmentation.
  • Have great problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and implement effective solutions
