About the Role
HENSOLDT Radar is seeking a highly skilled Lead Electronic Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. Qualifications & Experience
- B.Eng in Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).

Product Development Execution
Lead research, design, and development activities in line with the Product Development process.

- Ensure reliability and maintainability via HALT testing and environmental qualification (Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)).

Product Documentation & Processes
Manage requirements, specifications, and baseline documentation (ATP, Test Readiness Review (TRR), Interface Control Document (ICD), etc.).
- Handle obsolescence management, configuration control, and change processes.
Support product managers with fault report investigations and retrofit actions.
Internal & Financial Management
Provide technical support to production, assisting in solving assembly and test challenges.
- Participate in cost estimation and Shop Replaceable Unit (SRU)/Line Replacement Unit (LRU)-level cost accounting.
Ensure effective task planning, scheduling, and delivery against project milestones.
Supplier & Service Provider Management
Support supplier identification, evaluation, and technical issue resolution.
People Management & Leadership
Lead, coach, and motivate the engineering team to achieve targets in quality, cost, and delivery.
- Conduct regular one-on-one performance and development reviews.

Design and develop electrical circuits in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Create and program PLC automation solutions customized for specific machines and systems.
Conduct comprehensive electrical testing, commissioning, and system validation both on-site and in-house.
Maintain accurate project documentation, ensuring "as-built" conditions are fully recorded and up to date.
Provide hands-on technical support during equipment assembly, installation, and operational phases.
Support technicians and clients in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving faults efficiently.
Travel domestically and internationally as required to oversee project execution and installations.
Skills & Experience:
Minumum 35 years of hands-on experience in PLC automation design, programming, and commissioning.
Proficient in Siemens TIA Portal for PLC development and configuration.
Familiarity with other automation platforms such as CODESYS, Allen Bradley, Delta ISP Soft, or B&R is a plus.
12 years of practical experience in electrical circuit design; experience with E-Plan preferred.
Strong understanding of electrical standards and their application in real-world systems.
High proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Willingness and flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as project demands require.
Qualification:
BEng or BTech in Electrical / Mechatronic Engineering
