We're seeking an experienced
Electrical Power Systems Engineer
to join our telecommunications infrastructure team. This role is responsible for the
review, implementation, and advisory

Key Accountabilities
Power Applications & Review
- Review, validate, and provide consent for all co-location power application requests at Vodacom/Mast sites.
- Evaluate requests for technical and contractual feasibility, considering load capacity, redundancy, and commercial contracts.
- Conduct site condition analyses to identify risks or constraints impacting co-location or expansion.
- Provide well-documented approvals with clear technical rationales, ensuring timely communication with key stakeholders.
Risk-Based Engineering & Compliance Audit
- Apply
risk-based engineering principles
to all new power installations and upgrade projects. - Identify, assess, and mitigate risks before implementation.
- Ensure all power system activities comply with
SANS
, safety standards, and operational requirements.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in
Electrical Engineering
(or equivalent). - Proven experience in
telecommunications power systems
or related infrastructure. - Strong working knowledge of
