EV Diagnostic Technician
to join a leading luxury automotive group in Dubai.
This role involves working with world-class brands to diagnose, maintain, and repair electric and hybrid vehicles to the highest manufacturer and customer care standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct advanced diagnostics on luxury EV and hybrid models, including battery systems, charging infrastructure, inverters, and drivetrains.
- Use manufacturer-specific diagnostic software, equipment, and tools to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
- Ensure vehicles meet the highest performance, safety, and luxury brand standards.
- Perform preventive maintenance and quality checks with precision and attention to detail.
- Support colleagues by providing technical expertise and mentoring on EV systems.
- Document diagnostic findings, repairs, and parts used accurately within the dealership systems.
- Stay updated on new EV technologies, brand-specific training, and luxury market trends.
- Deliver exceptional service in line with luxury brand expectations and client experience.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering.
- Proven experience as a
Diagnostic Technician
with exposure to
luxury brand EV/hybrid models
(e.g., BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche, etc.). - Strong understanding of high-voltage safety procedures.
- Proficiency in OEM diagnostic software and testing equipment.
- Excellent analytical and fault-finding skills.
- Commitment to delivering premium customer service.
- Willingness to complete further brand-specific training and certifications.
Preferred:
- Manufacturer certifications in luxury EV/hybrid systems.
- Previous experience in luxury brand dealerships, ideally in the GCC or international markets.

Position OverviewWe're looking for a Vehicle Inspection Specialist with a professional attitude; passionate about cars and who knows what they are doing when inspecting them. The role requires you to ensure a measurable, consistent and high quality pipeline/throughput of inspected vehicles. You are ultimately responsible for the quality and accuracy of your assessment for the vehicles you inspect.
You are able to meticulously follow processes whilst applying sound judgment and are experienced in the inspection of vehicles to assess necessary cosmetic repair, mechanical issues/concerns and any accident damage.
You must be able to inspect and test-drive a vehicle for cosmetic and mechanical condition assessment to determine what reconditioning is required to ensure the vehicle is a retail ready state as per GW brand requirements. You need to be able to apply judgement when issues are encountered and guide the Vehicle Acquisition Specialist accordingly.
You will need good communication skills and a professional demeanour.
Specific Role ResponsibilitiesVehicle inspection, test drive and completion of inspection forms to company policy/price list/procedure
Vehicle transport to/from suppliers for recon
Vehicle preparation and transport to/from roadworthy
Interface to associated functions (Logistics/Sales/Acquisition etc)
Other operational ad hoc support as necessary
Qualifications and ExperienceMinimum of 3 years work experience in a similar role
Extreme attention to detail
Valid Driver's license (code 08)
English spoken and written

Position SummaryThe Automotive Technician plays a pivotal role within our automotive service team. As a vital member, you learn and develop foundational skills in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles. Under the guidance of experienced technicians, this role involves hands-on learning to address various automotive systems and services. Automotive Technicians participate in routine inspections, contribute to vehicle assessments, and assist in repair procedures. Additionally, Automotive Technicians may interact with customers to explain repair procedures, answer inquiries, and provide exceptional service. Overall, this role demands a combination of mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment. Pay Range: $7.00 - 25.50
ResponsibilitiesChange oil and perform other scheduled maintenance services.
Perform inspections of steering, suspension, and brake systems.
Install batteries and check electrical systems.
Perform tire maintenance.
Install parts.
Road test vehicles.
Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least one of A1 – A8 within first two years of employment (Tests and registrations fees are paid for by company pass or fail. Technicians receive bonus for each test passed)
- Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.
- Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
- Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance & tire repair services including:
