Job Description

The Centre for Student Support Services (CSSS) provides broad student-centred development support interventions to registered students. The incumbent will be expected to:
- Coordinate and deliver all administrative and operational requirements of the Office for Academic Support programmes
- Develop and create innovative learning support resources for departmental offerings and initiatives
- Coordinate and maintain digital platforms for learning programmes
- Coordinate and provide programme awareness, recruitment and selection efforts, as well as training and facilitation in line with departmental goals
- Coordinate and oversee monitoring and evaluation of relevant projects and programmes
- Provide regular, ongoing progress reports, as well as written operational and evaluation reports
- Collaborate with relevant internal and external stakeholders to enhance academic skills enablers initiatives for students
- Engage actively in relevant research
- Provide academic coaching sessions to students in the form of one-on-one sessions
- Support the Manager and Director with broader operational and strategic matters where required
- Must be prepared to work over weekends where required
Minimum Requirements:
- Postgraduate qualification in Education, Social Science or a relevant qualification at NQF Level 8
- With 3 to 5 years relevant work experience in facilitation and coaching in Higher Education
Core Experience:
- An understanding of relevant theories pertaining to student academic outcomes
- Demonstrated experience in the development and design of learning programmes
- Demonstrated experience in the use of data to inform the design of learning programmes/enablers
- Demonstrated experience in Group Facilitation
Advantageous
- Experience within student academic and learning skills
- Familiarity with working in an academic environment within the context of Higher Education

Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective students and parents throughout the recruitment process
Drive student acquisition by identifying and nurturing leads
Foster productive partnerships with teachers, principals, and other key stakeholders
Guide applicants through every stage of the application and registration process
Capture and maintain accurate records of leads, appointments, applications, and registrations
Prepare and report on individual sales activities, sales figures, and statistics
Follow up on application and registration payments
Perform various administrative duties including file creation, data entry, and CRM updates
A three-year Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, PR, or related field (applicants with other qualifications must have relevant experience)
At least 2 years of proven sales experience, with a strong ability to close deals
Own reliable vehicle and valid drivers license essential
Experience managing the full sales cycle
Proficient in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software

- To achieve application targets and implement campus sales and marketing initiatives and plans aimed at attracting students to apply for full-time and part-time undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Presentation Target
- Deliver engaging presentations at targeted schools, showcasing the benefits of our institution.
- The ability to deliver a great presentation to potential students is crucial.
- Distribute marketing materials and interact with students to generate interest and enquiries.
- Represent our brand at career expos and other stakeholder events.
- Achieve monthly presentation targets as per school priorities.
Database Collection
- Meet monthly targets for collecting school databases to expand our reach.
Interview Target
- Make proactive calls to prospective students, scheduling interviews to meet daily and weekly targets.
- Follow up on online applications, ensuring proof of payments and scheduling appointments.
- Provide prompt responses to online and telephonic enquiries.
- Conduct interviews following an established script, building rapport with students and parents.

Application Target
- Assist students with the online application process during interviews, securing applications on the spot.
- Follow up with unpaid online applications and ensuring payment is completed.
- Conduct regular calling campaigns to convert interviews into applications.
- Drive application acceptance and pre-registration fee payment.
- Achieve individual targets for weekly, monthly and annual applications.
Registration Target
- Meet individual targets for new student registrations.
Administration and Reporting
- Maintain accurate daily reports, including call reports and interview booking trackers and the CRM system.
- Ensure interview forms are completed correctly and applications have valid supporting documentation.
- Update relevant systems and reports as required by the Head: Student Recruitment.
Competencies Required:
