ROLE SUMMARY:
The Head of Learning Support is responsible for leading, managing, and coordinating all aspects of learning support across the Foundation Phase (Grade R–3), Intermediate Phase (Grade 4–6), and Senior Preparatory (Grade 7). - Identify and engage at-risk populations through targeted outreach, partnering with campus resources and Care Teams to address complex student needs and promote use of the Student Success Hub.

ADDED ADVANTAGES AND PREFERENCES:
- BSc degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems, Engineering (Industrial, Computer/ Software, Electrical, Electronics), Data Analytics/Science, Statistics or cognate field Relevant experience in a higher education or similar environment;
- Over four years' experience in:
- Experience working with Higher Education data;
- Experience in developing apps and systems;
- Experience in working with Power BI;
- Experience in process optimisation and automation;
- Certification in Power Platform tools;
- A valid drivers' license.

The total remuneration package for this position will be as determined by UP remuneration policy guidelines. (These amounts include the University's contributions to standard UP benefits, namely provident fund, group life and funeral cover, but exclude contributions to medical aid, as the latter varies per employee.) UP subscribes to the BESTMED and UMVUZO medical aid schemes and contributes 50% of the applicable monthly premium.

Good knowledge of and experience in the higher education sector, preferably in a university setting. Duties:
- Collaborate with faculties and support units to ensure alignment and coordination of student success initiatives.
- Actively design and refine intervention strategies to support at-risk students.
