REQUIREMENTS

The minimum qualification required is a four-year professional degree in psychology, social work, or education with an emphasis on psycho-social and developmental/educational support;

Professional registration as a Psychologist, Registered Counsellor, Social Worker, Educational Psychologist or as an Educator with at least an honours in educational psychology or inclusive education; and

At least 3 years' experience in coaching, advising or teaching diverse students related to enhancing academic success and retention in a higher education setting

  • Conduct individual and group coaching sessions with the focus on academic and psycho-social support and development for Medical and Health Science students.
  • Refer students to appropriate academic, personnel and support resources.
  • Co-ordinate the First-Year experience program for Medical and Health Science students.
  • Collaborate and communicate with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide Case Management and Administrative systems that ensure quality and ethical standards.
  • Develop and Implement policies and procedures to facilitate the student success program.
  • Contribute to Research in a relevant field within Health Sciences.

3 5 years experience at university level in student coaching, advising, and teaching of diverse university students related to enhancing academic success and retention in a higher education/university setting.

In conducting individual and group coaching sessions, candidates must be willing to have flexible work arrangements including consultations with students after hours and on weekends as required to meet student needs. Providing evidence of experience with innovative student centred service delivery models may serve as an advantage.

Your Mission

As Lead Student Success Manager, you will drive innovation, lead strategic thinking, and implement new approaches for scaling the success of our Career Accelerator (CA) programmes. You'll be accountable for the full learner journey, from onboarding to completion, with a clear focus on driving progression, satisfaction, outcomes, and careers-first success metrics.

You'll lead a high-performing team of Success Managers and set the gold standard in student experience, retention, and satisfaction. Beyond leadership, you'll shape scalable success strategies that align with FourthRev's commitment to transformative, careers-first education—ensuring every learner feels supported, enabled, and equipped to achieve their career goals.

What You'll Do

1. Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Student Success team

  • Guide and performance-manage Success Managers to deliver exceptional learner experiences.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and data-informed decision-making.
  • Act as point of escalation for complex learner cases with sensitivity and care.
  • Enhance systems and processes to scale effectiveness across partnerships.

2. Own and drive the careers-first learner journey strategy

  • Lead delivery of learner journeys across orientation, progression, and communications.
  • Partner with Product and Delivery teams to design cohesive, high-impact journeys.
  • Create learner-facing content, assets, and engagement strategies that drive confidence and outcomes.
