The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to Installation Partners as well as installing demo devices for the purpose of field-testing trials and POC's. Continuous monitoring of the vehicles will be required to determine if any configuration changes are needed. Detailed progress and feedback should be provided for data capturing and documentation purposes.
Minimum Requirements- Grade 12 or N3 in electrical engineering discipline or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong technical knowledge in aftermarket devices e.g., dash cameras, fatigue monitoring systems, etc.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication skills.
- Intermediate MS Office knowledge.
- Ability to work with various device configuration tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Be available after hours and weekends if required.
- Available to travel to customer sites (nationally and cross border).
- Valid driver's licence.

Installation and Maintenance:
Install, configure, and commission devices at customer sites for the purpose of field testing and POC's.
- Conduct routine maintenance and quality inspections to ensure optimal product performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues to provide timely and effective solutions to all relevant stakeholders.
Set installation standards for all Optix products according to OEM specifications.
Partner Hardware Support:
Serve as the primary point of contact for Installation Partners during on-site visits.
- Provide training to installation partners on the use and maintenance of our products when needed.
- Respond to queries and resolve issues promptly.
Conduct online training and support to all Installation Partners.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of service activities, including service reports, installation documentation, and partner communications.
Collaborate with the Product Development team to document common issues and solutions.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the internal teams to provide technical expertise during pre-sales demonstrations and customer visits.
- Collaborate with internal teams to relay customer feedback and contribute to product improvement.
- Liaise with vehicle OEMs on specific requirements or when new models are released.
