We are looking for a highly skilled Digital Solutions Architect with extensive experience in software development and strong architecture skills to join our team at a Financial Services Company based in Cape Town. The ideal candidate should be TOGAF and AWS/Azure certified and possess a solid understanding of general development skills, DevOps skills, and Mobile skills.

**Job Description**
**AECOM** is seeking a creative, highly talented Desktop Application Software Developer to work a hybrid work schedule based out of one of our offices in Cape Town, Johannesburg, or Durban, South Africa. The successful candidate will utilize their design and development skills to deliver products that are high quality, on time and within budget. The developer will participate in the design, coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and deployment of new database and spatial software and will maintain and improve legacy spatial software. The candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient algorithms for several applications that will leverage spatial and non-spatial data querying and processing.
The candidate will work closely with technical and business staff to develop solutions. The ability of the candidate to learn topics in water resources engineering and flood mitigation will be needed. Our onboarding process includes in-person, hands-on training and pair programming. Due to the varying nature of our projects, our technology staff grow their skills rapidly since each solution requires new approaches and technology components.

+ Identify, assess, and monitor governance-related risks across the organization.
+ Collaborate with relevant teams (e.g., Legal, Compliance, Audit) to ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
+ Implement risk mitigation strategies and controls within the governance framework.

**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
+ 8 years of progressive experience in governance, operations, finance, or IT management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role with direct reports.

**AECOM** is seeking a Digital Solutions Governance Manager to play a critical role in establishing, maintaining, and enhancing the organization's governance framework to ensure strategic alignment, optimize resource utilization, manage risk, and promote transparency and accountability across various business functions. This role leads a small team responsible for key governance pillars, facilitates critical cross-functional collaboration, and serves as the primary liaison between business lines and a central Governance Council.

**Team Leadership and Management (3 Direct Reports):**
**Budget & Planning Analyst:**
+ Oversee the development, monitoring, and reporting of departmental and project budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial prudence.
+ Guide the analysis of spending patterns, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency.
+ Approve budget proposals and provide financial insights to the Governance Council.
**Software Rationalization Specialist:**
+ Direct the ongoing inventory, assessment, and optimization of the organization's software application portfolio.
+ Guide efforts to identify redundancies, consolidate applications, and recommend retirement or replacement strategies to reduce costs and complexity.
+ Oversee the development of roadmaps for application modernization and simplification.
**License Management & Analytics Specialist:**
+ Lead the management of all software and service licenses, ensuring compliance with vendor agreements and optimizing license utilization.
+ Guide the collection and analysis of license data to identify cost savings opportunities, mitigate compliance risks, and support strategic procurement decisions.
+ Oversee the implementation and management of license management tools and processes.
+ Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management to direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Job Description
AECOM is seeking a talented and experienced Software Quality Assurance Tester to work a hybrid work schedule out of one of our offices in Cape Town, Durban, or Johannesburg South Afirca. The successful candidate will play an integral role on multiple projects ensuring the quality of internal and client-facing applications. Our R&D team produces a variety of applications, typically with geospatial capabilities, that run on the desktop, web, AWS, and a variety of client production systems. The candidate will need to learn topics in water resources engineering and flood mitigation.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an accomplished team and work on a variety of exciting and innovative projects for our various clients. The typical responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct manual testing on a variety of desktop and web solutions.
- Define, build, and maintain test scenarios that validate these solutions on an ongoing basis.
- Execute test scenarios, monitor test results, identify issues, and work with the software development team to resolve.
- Ensure solutions fulfill the highest possible quality, performance, usability, and supportability criteria.
Minimum Requirements
- BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field from an accredited university.
- 2+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Experience with manual testing of desktop and/or web applications.
- MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience working with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum.
- Experience with ESRI and open-source GIS technologies.
- Basic familiarity with DevOps concepts.
- Demonstrated aptitude with relational database systems such as SQL Server.
- Demonstrated aptitude with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Ability to clearly explain ideas and thoughts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Passion for quality, detail oriented, and know how to break software by finding bugs.
- Interest in learning about GIS technologies.
