Rare Carat is looking for a Customer Service Associate who is eager to join our remote gemology team. The ideal candidate has experience in, and understands, top notch customer service as well as has a passion to educate customers about diamonds and fine jewelry.
In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with the customers, helping as they navigate our site for diamonds, engagement rings and fine jewelry, and assisting them throughout the sales process.
Responsibilities
- Educate and assist customers in finding their perfect diamond, engagement ring, or fine jewelry by providing product information, answering questions, and offering recommendations
- Assist customers throughout the sales process, including processing orders and payments, coordinating shipping and delivery, and following up to ensure customer satisfaction
- Communicate with customers via chat and email
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales or customer service experience in fine jewelry required. Candidates without jewelry experience will not be considered for this role.
- We provide quite a lot of training, but you MUST have diamond knowledge that goes beyond the 4C's as well as basic jewelry knowledge. You will not succeed in this role without it.
Your Education and Experience
- GIA Graduate Gemologist Diploma or similar education
- A minimum of 3 years selling fine jewelry with a focus on bridal (required)
- Experienced in jewelry customer service and sales
- Experience using an education based sales approach - no high pressure sales here
- Experienced closer using a friendly, outgoing, professional approach
Your Skills
- Passionate about helping people make an emotional purchase
- Knowledge of diamonds beyond the 4C's - ability to have an in-depth discussion about ideal proportions, fluorescence, phosphorescence, difference between lab grown and natural diamonds, setting types, metal types, etc.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask - you don’t need 4 arms, but sometimes it may feel like you do
- Ability to work independently in a very fast-paced environment
- Must be adaptable to change - working in a remote environment means sometimes processes change quickly
- Ability to learn and adapt to current technology
- Comfortable learning and using multiple different systems concurrently
- Provide feedback to improve systems and elevate the customer experience
- Strong typing skills
- You enjoy working in a team based environment
Location, Hours + equipment needed
- 100% remote, work from home - you can work from anywhere in the world as long as you have a strong internet connection!
- We have positions available on our chat team, phone team, custom design team, repairs team and orders team.
- Multiple Full-time positions available. Hours and days of the week will vary based on the needs of the team at time of hire - some shifts may end past midnight or will be overnight hours. All schedules are fixed and will not change on a week to week basis.

A willingness to work with K&B stores, Fabricators and interior designers to generate leads.
What you will doYou will serve as our client’s main point of contact, helping them to reach their goals and ensuring a continued, positive and profitable relationship for both sides. In order to be a successful Account Manager with us you will work with different segments:
Develop and maintain current product knowledge to present to customers.
Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients within the remodel, home improvement, cabinet makers, builders, and fabrication.
Responsible for overall sales of the assigned territory.
Identify and take the opportunities to maximize the visibility of Cosentino products to generate sales.
Optimize sales and marketing by promoting visits to Cosentino Centers.
Work to find new points of sale.
Customer Service
Ensure customers have adequate marketing materials to support sales, including samples, brochures, and other collateral supplies, such as display towers.
Manage customer relationships by resolving client concerns, ensuring customers are set up in CRM . System, providing price quotes, scheduling weekly visits, etc.
Increase market share by elevating the number of displays and point-of-purchase materials within assigned territory.
Plan the number of visits to clients and the appropriate frequency of visits based on client importance.
Build and maintain good relationships with clients based on mutual trust and respect.
Attend and provide post–sale service.
Prepare action plans to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made.
Collaborate with Cosentino Corporate staff, Cosentino Center staff, and other Account Managers as needed to accomplish goals.
Work with General Manager and Sales Team to execute a business strategy for all customer segments in the area (K&B, Fabricators, etc.).
Train in the characteristics and the attributes of the product, provide information, deliver marketing tools relevant to the client’s segmentation.
Monitor and maintaining data in CRM.
Required Experience:
At least 2-3 years of experience in:
Commercial Project.
Experience with a Customer database, Salesforce preferred.
Stone fabrication or distribution experience
Preferred Education:
