Job Title: Senior Design Manager, Lifestyle - HOKA Footwear
Reports to: Director, Design, Lifestyle - HOKA Footwear

The Role
As the Senior Design Manager - Lifestyle, you will spearhead strategic categories for the Lifestyle Footwear team at HOKA. Your aim will be to deliver best-in-class, disruptive, and consumer-centric product designs. You will join and lead an inspired product design team; crafting and managing key Lifestyle franchises and concepts through an authentic HOKA lens. Your passion for product design and deep understanding of the Lifestyle landscape will be balanced with both an entrepreneurial and collaborative approach.

Your Impact
- Create Lifestyle product concepts and designs that deliver the uniquely HOKA footwear experience - inspiring and winning consumers across the globe.
- Lead a small, but mighty, team of product designers against seasonal project briefs, annual franchise concepts, and long-term design strategies.
- Drive the creative vision and execution of key vertical categories within the Lifestyle footwear product construct.
- Explore “blue sky” opportunities that champion the spirit of HOKA as a tinkerer, a challenger, and a creator who is not afraid to make bold moves.
- Collaborate with business partners (such as Product Management, Product Development, and Product Testing) to deliver products that accelerate the business, as well as creative partners (such as Material Design, Color Design, and 3D Design) to build products, seasonal strategies, and long-term concepts with a holistic point-of-view.
- Manage and resource allocate against multiple creation calendars for seasonal Inline, Collaboration, and SMU design projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Fashion Design or Graphic Design.
- Six years or more of product design experience at brand or agency setting, or equivalent combination of relevant education, experience, and training.
- Robust working knowledge of the global Lifestyle footwear market.
- Intrinsic interest in Lifestyle trends and a matching taste level on how to execute against it.
- Proven track record commercializing product designs in the footwear industry, with preference towards Lifestyle, Running, and/or Outdoor categories.
- Confidence in managing a dynamic workload that requires speed, precision, and discipline to deliver season-over-season.
- Experience influencing cross-functional partners in a matrixed environment; driving alignment between various stakeholders in product creation.
- In-depth knowledge of footwear construction, methods of make, foam compounds, and/or tooling geometries and how to build corresponding tech packs on-time, in-full.
- Expertise in the suite of design tools and software, such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Illustrator, ProCreate , etc.
- Strong presentation skills (both verbal and visual) with comfort presenting to internal/external audiences large and small.
- Experience such as footwear color design, material design, and/or graphic design is a plus.
- Experience in collaboration projects (crossover fashion & functional) with external partners is a plus.
- Experience in people management is a plus.
