Assignment: Learning Design for Deel’s Leadership Academy
Contract Period: June 1st, 2024 – December 1st, 2024
Scope: Deliver comprehensive, multi-modal learning resources in collaboration with the People Development Partners, to support the creation, launch and iteration of Deel’s Leadership Academy within H2 2024.
Contract Deliverables:
- Develop interactive e-learning modules (using Articulate) and associated or stand-alone assets including but not limited to animations, videos, quizzes, and case studies on topics related to the Leadership Academy programs.
- In partnership with People Development Partners, design visually engaging live leadership workshops plus custom-designed facilitator guides and participant workbooks.
- Create visually engaging job aids, infographics, and one-pagers summarizing key leadership models, frameworks, and best practices for quick reference and reinforcement.
- Support with the creation of ‘marketing’ content for the Leadership Academy, including the design of promotional materials such as videos, slide decks and other visual assets.

A brand-new showroom in Paarl has an exciting positions available for a Showroom Consultant.
The main purpose of the role is to promote and sell merchandise, sample books and partnership programmes to customers and to maintain the image and oversee the effective operations of the showroom in order to meet sales targets.
Main Duties:
- Maintain showroom operations by maintaining the set showroom standards, coordinating deliveries, manage stock of cuttings, sample hangers and books, coordinate events etc.
- Build productive relationships with customers by advising and selling to customers in the showroom and handling internal and external complaints and queries
- Support field sales by supporting the internal sales consultants
Requirements:
- National Senior Certificate
- Certificate or Diploma in Interior Design/Decor or related field advantageous
- At least 3 years sales experience in a similar role within the same or related industry
- At least 3 years retail experience
- Exposure to an interior design environment
- Experience of coordinating the operational aspects of a shop or outlet is an advantage
- Own reliable transport
Skills and Knowledge required:
- Good telephone etiquette
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)

- Prepare proposals as and when required with the assistance of more senior colleagues
- Positive attitude to team building and sound working relationships
- Develop specifications in line with requirements of applicable rating schemes
- Review of project documentation for certification purposes
- Draft reports and provide performance calculations in line with credit or other requirements
- Liaise with project teams, contractors, Clients and their representatives as and when required
- Liaise with the Green Building Council of South Africa (GBCSA)’s technical representatives / case managers
- Be proactive in finding solutions to issues and solving problems
- Continuous development of professional and technical knowledge
Minimum requirements
- Relevant BSc/BEng degree
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in the Built Environment, in an Environmentally Sustainable Design Consultancy or an Engineering Consulting firm
- Understanding of the design, construction and building operations process
- Understanding of buildings performance simulation, e.g. daylight, thermal comfort, energy
- Ability to plan and execute a certification project from start to finish with some support from more senior colleagues
- Proficiency in written and verbal English
- Proficiency in MS Suite of applications – Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Able to use Adobe Acrobat or similar editor
- Able to read and interpret design and construction drawings by architects and building services engineers
- Green Star / LEED Accredited Professional and accreditation in other industry recognised schemes
- Undergo Accredited Professional training in schemes relevant to our projects
