At KingMakers, we're not here to follow the industry, we're here to define it.

We are a proudly homegrown African company, building the future of sports and iGaming entertainment across the continent. Since our launch in 2018, we've created platforms that connect millions of fans to the excitement they love through our leading brands, BetKing and SuperSportBet.

From Nigeria to South Africa, we've rapidly grown into a powerhouse, recognized for raising standards, pushing boundaries, and shaping what's next in our industry. Our vision is bold: to be the home where Africa plays.

Collaboration, innovation, and fearless execution define our culture. Every decision is purposeful, every interaction impactful, and every product designed to serve our players and partners with excellence.

We think bigger, move faster, and never settle for average. If you're ready to build with us, challenge convention, and make your mark, there's no better time to join KingMakers.

Role Overview

We are looking for a DevOps Delivery Manager to join our growing DevOps team. This is not a purely technical role; we already have strong technical leaders and engineers in the team. Instead, your mission will be to provide organization, clarity, and visibility: ensuring that priorities are clear, communication flows smoothly, and delivery is efficient.

You will act as the face of the DevOps team within the company, bridging business stakeholders and technical experts, balancing day-to-day operations with long-term technical projects. Over time, this role is designed to evolve into a people manager position, so strong leadership potential is key.

Requirements

What You Will Be Doing

  • Prioritization & Planning: Work with business stakeholders and technical leads to align priorities between business-as-usual activities and strategic technical initiatives.

  • Team Organization: Facilitate sprint planning, backlog management, and delivery tracking, ensuring the team remains focused and efficient.

  • Communication & Visibility: Act as the main point of contact between DevOps and other departments, clearly articulating priorities, progress, and challenges.

  • Delivery Management: Ensure smooth execution of projects, keeping an eye on timelines, risks, and dependencies.

  • Support Incident Response: Help coordinate communication and escalation during critical incidents (with technical leads owning the resolution).

  • Promote Best Practices: Champion agile/DevOps ways of working, helping the team continuously improve collaboration and delivery processes.

  • Leadership Growth: Develop natural leadership skills with the view of progressing into a formal management role.

What You Need for This Role

  • Proven experience in delivery management, project management, or Scrum Master roles within technical environments (DevOps, Infrastructure, or Software Development).

  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills, able to manage multiple streams of work and balance BAU with technical projects.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills — able to translate technical updates into clear business language.

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum/Kanban frameworks and backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).

  • Ability to foster a collaborative environment where engineers can focus on solving complex problems.

  • Natural leadership potential — proactive, approachable, and able to inspire trust.

  • Bonus: familiarity with DevOps concepts (CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, monitoring) is helpful, but deep technical expertise is not required

Why This Role is Unique

  • You'll be the voice and face of the DevOps team, giving visibility and alignment across the business.

  • You'll work closely with some of the strongest technical engineers in the company, learning from them while enabling their success.

  • You'll help shape how we deliver infrastructure and platform projects that support millions of users.

  • This is a career growth opportunity for people management within one of the most critical teams in the company

How you do it - Expectations for fulfilling your role:

At KingMakers, culture isn't just a set of words on a wall, it's how we show up, how we work, and how we grow. That's why we created Our CROWNS: six bold, clear and actionable values that guide how we make decisions, collaborate, and raise the bar for ourselves and each other.

Customer First

We build with and for our customers. Whether internal or external, we care deeply about what drives them and always strive to deliver real, meaningful value.

Raise the Bar

We take initiative, take ownership, and never settle. We're not here to show off, we're here to make an impact, raise standards, and push for better every time.

Operate with Candor

We build trust through openness and honesty. We speak clearly, listen actively, and make space for others to be part of the conversation. Truth with kindness, always.

We Build Together

We collaborate across teams, support one another, and leave our egos aside. We succeed as a team, lifting each other up and sharing the load.

No Hesitation, Never Reckless

We move boldly and responsibly. We take smart risks, speak up, and try new things, with the courage to own the outcome and the clarity to avoid chaos.

Speed & Iteration

We act fast, learn fast, and improve fast. We cut through the noise, act, and adapt quickly. Progress beats perfection.

Benefits

At KingMakers, your work doesn't just power platforms, it shapes a movement. Here's what you can expect:

  • Global Impact
: Build systems that redefine how millions engage with sports and entertainment
  • International Collaboration
: Work with top talent from across the world in a dynamic and inclusive culture
  • Personal Growth
: Take on exciting challenges that help you level up as an engineer and leader
