Qualifications- First- or Post Graduate Degree in Marketing or related field

OPERATIONS MANAGER – CREATIVE AGENCY (Fully Remote, UK Hours)
Location: Fully Remote (South Africa-based candidates encouraged to apply)
Hours: 9am – 6pm UK (40 hours per week)
Salary: £2,000 – £,500 per month (depending on experience)
Start Date: Within 30–60 days

About the Role
VA Central is recruiting on behalf of one of our long-standing UK clients for an Operations Manager to join their growing creative agency. This fully remote role is an exciting opportunity to play a key part in driving operational excellence and ensuring smooth day-to-day agency management.
We are looking for someone with proven experience in operations within a digital marketing or creative agency environment, who thrives in a fast-paced setting and has the leadership skills to support, guide, and develop a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the agency, ensuring smooth workflow across departments.
- Support team members with onboarding, workload allocation, performance monitoring, and meeting deadlines.
- Manage Operations Assistants in the future, including training, delegation, and performance oversight.
- Act as the primary point of resolution for operational and client escalation issues.
- Oversee credit control processes, including following up on overdue invoices and liaising with clients on payments.
- Implement and maintain operational systems and processes to improve efficiency and service delivery.
- Liaise with department heads and senior management to ensure alignment with company goals and client expectations.
- Identify opportunities to streamline operations, reduce costs, and boost productivity.
- Take ownership of all operational matters that contribute to the smooth and successful running of the agency.
Requirements
- 3-5 years proven experience as an Operations Manager (or similar role) within a digital marketing or creative agency.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Confident in handling client communications, including escalations.
- Financial awareness with experience in invoicing and payments.
- Ability to thrive in a fully remote, fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
