Key purpose:

Duties and responsibilities:

• Drive continuous business improvement initiatives.
• Identify business improvement opportunities in partnership with business users by developing appropriate use cases.

Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Statistics.
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an FMCG / Supply Chain environment.
• Knowledge of business principles, processes, and systems development lifecycle.
• Experience with analytics methodologies, database/warehouse design principles.
• Knowledge of AI, Machine Learning, & RPA technologies.
• Experience with SAP R/3 & BW, Microsoft Power & Azure Platform, Power BI & DAX (advanced), SQL (intermediate), SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, and Tabular Editor.

Responsibilities and KRA’s:

• Identify, clarify, and agree on data and analytics requirements.
• Liaises with POs to understand and document their data and analytics requirements; performing analytical processes and measures related to the processes.
• Adopts multiple actions with stakeholders to elicit the requirements; uses interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, user cases, scenarios, and business analysis.
• Provides functional knowledge and expert input during planning, design and implementation phases of projects and initiatives between Data Chapter, Data Squad, and business.
• Assists stakeholders (e.g. Product Managers) with data-related scoping and planning.
• Applies end-to-end best practices to deliver data and analytics requirements.
• Ensures appropriate testing is done and provides the business with assistance during user acceptance testing.
• Provides business with functional and technical assistance during data and analytics implementations.
• Applies business and data and analytics functional knowledge at all times to identify possible improvement opportunities and motivate with business.
• Owns personal continued professional development to remain current with data and analytics industry trends, particularly around data and analytics tools and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
BI Testing and Quality Assurance

• Design and execute test plans and test cases for ETL processes, data integration workflows, data marts, and reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI).
• Perform data validation and reconciliation between source systems and target BI systems.
• Conduct functional, integration, system, regression, and performance testing on BI

• Deep understanding of database technologies, OLAP concepts, and ETL frameworks.
• Ability to present insights effectively using data visualization techniques.
• Experience working with diverse data sources including flat files and APIs.
• Capable of operating independently within established processes and guidelines.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in SQL Server
• Expertise with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, DAX, T-SQL
• Experience with SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS
• Solid understanding of database administration practices
• Exposure to cloud-based platforms such as Azure SQL or AWS RDS is a plus
• Familiarity with data environments in the retail or FMCG sectors is an advantage
