- At least 5 years of accountant work experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong skills in Pastel Accounting: SAGE Evolution.
- Good at costing and inventory management.

Responsibilities:
- Management Reporting
- Provide monthly and yearly management reports to the management.
- Profit ratio and COS ratio analysis.
- Staff KPI and commission calculations.
- Setting up annual and monthly budgets with management.
Financial Management
- Manage internal controls and systems (Pastel Evolution).
- Oversee the accounting functions including debtors, creditors, stock control, and banking/cash.
- Manage cash flows and cash forecasts.
- Supervise stock counts.
- Perform VAT reconciliations to identify VAT variances for the year.
- Calculate product costs and load them into the accounting system.
- Check daily debtor income allocations and supplier payment allocations.
- Process stock adjustments.
- Ensure company secretarial submissions are up to date.
TAXATION
- Submit VAT returns (VAT201) using SARS eFiling.
- Payroll administration using Pastel Payroll; submit EMP201 returns via SARS eFiling.
- Calculate and submit Workman's Compensation to the Department of Labor and SA State.
- Submit EMP501 and IRP5 using EasyFile.
- Manage management accounts.
- Submit provisional tax for the company.
- Submit company and personal tax returns.
- Liaise with SARS regarding audit queries.
Annual Audit
- Finalize audit files.
- Prepare financial statements using CaseWare and conduct audit reviews.
- Liaise with company auditors.
- Ensure all necessary documentation (COIDA, TCC PIN, BBBEE certificate) is available for submission.

Factory Trials and NPD Process Support
- Attend factory trials to gain a thorough understanding of new or upgraded product manufacturing processes and provide insight into proposed changes to product costs (e.g., capex, opportunity costs due to capacity).
- Accurately cost NPD or changes to NPD processes.
- Maintain integrity and support the proper execution of the NPD approval process.
- Calculate and implement any approved changes to product costing, outlining the impact on the cost base and profitability.
- Monitor, review, and provide feedback on the actual impact of changes and new product costing as part of the post-launch process.
BOM Audits
- Perform BOM checks and audits as needed.
- Conduct factory floor audits/checks as required.
- Coordinate investigations and audits with the Management Accountant and Factory Managers to support cost control and maximize profitability.
Projects and Ad Hoc Reporting
- Assist in the compilation and tracking of Capex motivations and other irregular requirements.
- Conduct ad hoc projects and feasibility studies concerning product profitability.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and systems within the cost accounting function.
- Provide coordination and support for capital motivations, such as bill of materials and quotations.
- Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as required.
