Overview :

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to promote and sell medical microscopes to dentists and plastic / reconstructive surgeons across South Africa. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the medical industry, a proven track record in sales, and the ability to build strong relationships with healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities :

Sales & Business Development

  • Promote and sell the company's medical microscope range to target markets.
  • Identify and cold call potential customers to generate leads.
  • Schedule and conduct sales appointments and product demonstrations.
  • Drive market penetration and grow market share within the territory.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations and customer requests.
  • Submit weekly activity planners and reports to the Director.

Marketing & Strategic Support

  • Support marketing initiatives including conferences, congresses, educational events, and customer workshops.
  • Assist in implementing strategic and tactical marketing plans.
  • Evaluate competitor products and market activities to support sales strategies.
  • Promote the company's full product offering in all interactions.
  • Customer Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Build a network of industry stakeholders including dentists, surgeons, hospitals, associations, and key opinion leaders.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and service.
  • Provide feedback to management on market trends, customer needs, and opportunities.
  • Attend regular appointments with existing and potential clients.
  • Reporting & Administration

  • Submit accurate monthly sales and marketing reports before the 5th of each month.
  • Ensure timely submission of expense claims with proper cost allocation.
  • Maintain all administrative duties related to sales and marketing activities.
  • Adhere to all relevant regulatory standards, SOPs, and the Company Code of Business Ethics.
  • Minimum Requirements :

    Qualifications

  • Matric (Grade 12) is essential.
  • A tertiary qualification in sales, business, marketing, or healthcare is advantageous.
  • Any qualification in medical marketing or management will be a strong advantage.
  • Experience

  • Proven sales experience is required.
  • Experience in the medical or healthcare industry (e.g., doctor detailing, medical device sales) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with dental and / or surgical customer segments will be advantageous.
  • Clinical knowledge and existing customer relationships are a plus.
  • Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook - minimum intermediate level).
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to interpret customer needs and identify solutions.

    Our well-established client in the pharmaceutical industry based in Parktown has a vacancy available for a Medical Aesthetics Sales Representative

    Main Purpose of Job

    The Medical Aesthetics Representative is responsible for increasing the visibility and awareness of our company's aesthetics portfolio and maximizing sales growth. The role involves building strong relationships with healthcare professionals, including doctors and specialists. This role will be predominantly focused on the aesthetic space, but there will also be a component to the neurotoxin in neuroscience field.

    Key Performance Areas (Core, essential responsibilities – outputs of the position)

    Sales And Relationship Building

    • Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, primarily doctors and specialists.
    • Continuously identify and build the customer base for both Aesthetics and Neurosciences
    • Schedule and conduct regular visits to medical offices, hospitals, and clinics to promote the company's Aesthetic products.
    • Implement the marketing strategy for the brand(s).
    • Deliver and exceed monthly, quarterly & annual sales targets.
    • Increase our products’ market shares within the current users and new users.
    • Responsible for launching new products within the portfolio.
    • Implement the marketing strategy for the brand(s).

    Customer Support

    • Responsible for educating Aesthetic doctors on the product knowledge of our world class medical injectable portfolio.
    • Responsible for support in the therapeutic side of neurotoxin which requires calling on Neurologists and other specialties responsible for therapeutic indications. (This may include visits to hospital, clinics and rehab centers)
    • Provide ongoing support to doctors regarding the company's product range. This might include enquiries, product information, training, clinical trials etc.
    • Build partnerships with healthcare professionals to help drive trust & loyalty.

    Regulatory Compliance

    • Ensure all promotional activities comply with industry and regulatory policies and guidelines.

    Education And Training

    • Conduct presentations and training sessions for healthcare professionals to educate them on the products, including features, benefits, and correct usage.
    • Plan, arrange and drive training workshops to further expose more doctors and to create more awareness on the aesthetic portfolio.

    Market Analysis

    • Stay informed about the latest healthcare trends, competitor products and potential opportunities.

    Minimum Requirements

    EDUCATION

    • Bachelor’s degree in medical or a related field

    Experience.

    • Proven experience in pharmaceutical, aesthetics sales or a similar role will be beneficial.
    • Minimum of 2 years experience calling on Dermatologists and Aesthetic Dr's
    • Familiarity with Business relationship management (BRM) and Customer relationship management (CRM) practices along with the ability to build productive business professional relationships
    • Previous experience in the medical aesthetics (injectables) field is a big plus
    • A good understanding of the existing neurotoxin and/or filler market is advantageous
    • Excellent knowledge of the anatomy of the face
    • Good track record of planning and managing injectable workshops with doctors

    Skills/Physical Competencies

    • CRM software experience will be beneficial.
    • MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel & Outlook

    Job Title: Ordering Clerk (Johannesburg)

    To liaise with customers, document and process their orders, and ensure that the items are received on time. The order clerk’s responsibilities include order capturing, quotations, finalizing delivery dates, dealing with customer complaints, establishing excellent customer relations and keeping the clients informed about the status of their orders.

    Key Job Responsibilities:
    · Receiving orders from customers via mail, phone, or other electronic means, SAP order placing

    · Preparing customer invoices and quotations.
    · Notifying departments when supplies of items are low.
