Your Mission, Role And Responsibilities
The Squeeze Control Graduate supports the Squeese Controller with daily, weekly and monthly purchasing, sales and squeeze controlling functions, analysis and projects that are required by the business.

The Main Missions Of The Role Are To

  • Support the Squeeze Controller during monthly closings : data collection and consolidation, preparation of reports and analysis of variances.
  • Month end closing – Purchasing month end – Analyse and report LTA's CR notes, Passtrhough items (example FX Alloy) etc.
  • Month end Reviews – Compile purhasing P&L for 4X plants and assist with Powerpoint presentation and comments.
  • Month end BG P&L consolidations and commodity reporting.
  • Monthly Forecast purchasing – Assist purchasing with compiling forecast, Purchasing P&L, Bill of Matrial (BOM) explosions etc.
  • Month end Sales and purchasing Reviews – Assist with Powerpoint sale and purchasing Squeeze preperation and presentations for 4 plants (FX, Alloy and C3)
  • Monthly forecast squeeze – Sales and purchasing squeeze (FX, Alloy, and C3), gather info from plant controllers and Magritte extracts
  • Weekly Estimates – Weekly price variance downloads from SAP to understand level of performance vs targets. Weekly meeting with purchasing to assess status vs budget and forecast.
  • Othre tasks – CR note tracking, EA recon checking, selling price simmulations and other add hoc tasks.
  • Graduate Training Project – Extra Alloy passthrough

Your profile and competencies to succeed
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business with a specialization in Auditing and Management Accounting/Costing
  • Academic results above 70% in their final year whilst maintaining a 60% average over the duration of their studies
  • Proficiency in MS Office Advanced Excel, Power Point, Word
  • A first experience in Management Accounting is a plus
  • Understand standard costing, Bill of materials, and variance alalysis.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Strong analytical skills and rigor, agile with figures
  • Results-oriented, committed team-player
  • Willingness to grow in a high pressure environment
  • International mindset
  • Fluent in English

Key responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Full responsibility for the day-to-day finance function

Minimum Requirements
  • Degree
  • Relevant experience in applying job related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level
  • Experience in working with senior management
  • Business English: Fluent
  • Computer literacy (Advanced)
Duties and Responsibilities

Administrate DBIT and K2 system.

  • Manage all Project Capex submission and add all info needed for K2 approval.
  • Revise K2 on a regular basis to enhance or correct workflow.
  • Action all approved K2 Asset changes.
  • Capture all Asset movements in DBIT (Capitalizations, Disposals, Scrapping and Selling etc.)
  • Run DBIT reports and reconcile all Asset Balance sheet accounts to DBIT.
  • Run DBIT at month end to close off the period.
  • Write and post journals regarding all Asset actions.
  • Monthly reconciliations on all Asset Accounts.
  • Reconcile all Critical Spare parts from Pragma to DBIT.
  • Manage all second hand Asset movements, selling and Invoicing.
  • Update all new vendors, Departments and Approval levels on K2.
  • Assist all Business Units with Asset enquiries as well as provide training on using the K2 system for Asset movement.

Computer hardware reconciliation

  • Use the SCCM report to compare Computers in use versus Computers moved between Employees.
  • Reconcile all Computers returned to Head office to ensure that all Assets are accounted for.
  • Manage the inter Company Accounts for Assets moved between South Africa and Botswana, Eswatini and Namibia.
  • Reconcile all Bulk Computer purchases to the individual Capex applications.

Manage other month-end duties

  • Compile various Reports regarding DBIT categories.
  • Compile Reports on all Capex expenditure.
  • Compile the Held for Sale Asset Report as well as the Disposal and Asset Scrappings.
  • Oversee the Asset Verification changes in DBIT required Annually.

Manage year-end schedules for auditors and financial statements disclosure

  • Prepare Auditors reports on various Asset requests.
  • Close off DBIT for the Financial year and prepare Auditors reports on all Asset movement during the financial year.
  • Manage the Roll forward on all Asset Accounts from current year to previous year

Job Purpose

  • To provide strategic leadership and guidance to teams by providing independent assurance of the control environment to the Nedbank Group Audit Committee and ensuring effective risk management practices are implemented across Nedbank. In addition, to lead and manage strategic and operational relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness, influence, and credibility of Group Internal Audit (GIA). 

Job Responsibilities
The Senior Audit Manager: Financial Crime – Exchange Control, Fraud & Regulatory Risk, in the discharge of his/her duties, shall be accountable for:

  • Support the reporting and effectiveness of the governance, risk, and internal control framework to appropriate governing bodies.
  • Comply with regulatory and corporate governance expectations of internal audit functions.
  • Accountable for the delivery and measurable performance of their respective portfolio including audit execution where required. 
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of specialists. 
  • Foster a culture of integrity, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate across GIA and the other lines of defence across the Group to ensure a coordinated approach to risk management.
  • Have in place a robust process to follow-up management’s agreed actions to address issues raised by the team.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to support timely and insightful and quality outcomes. 
  • Create an environment of teamwork and collaboration that contributes to the success of the wider Group Internal Audit (GIA) goals. 
  • Contribute to the development of the audit plan using a risk-based methodology with consideration for current and emerging risks.

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

Preferred Qualification

  • Certified Internal Auditor , Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

Essential Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, Finance, Risk Management, CIA or other relevant qualifications.

Minimum Experience Level

  • 8-10 years of experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. 
  • Proven experience in fraud risk, exchange control, regulatory compliance within a banking environment.
