Position Overview

The purpose of this role is to effectively control the quality of repairs, receipting of Panelshop orders and managing final costing of repairs.

Specific Role Responsibilities

Job Outputs:

  • Receive daily allocation sheet, daily term as well as next day term rentals from Admin Section.

  • Conduct an inspection of vehicles against the inspection and safety requirements of the vehicles.

  • Sort out daily out of service vehicles / available vehicles schedule on terminations.

  • Complete next day available section on allocation sheet and allocate vehicles.

  • Indicate out of service on separate sheet to Admin Section.

  • Mark out of service properly and park vehicle in allocated parking area (report to Admin Section and or Depot Manager).

  • Ensure next day rentals are parked and ready for delivery according to allocation sheet

  • Assist with the delivery of vehicles to airport or branches when required.

  • Hand over next day allocations to Airport Manager/next day rental agents with instructions to shortages and special requests at close of day.

  • Ensure all vehicle keys are signed off by Security/Car Park on delivering a vehicle to car park or branch.

  • Assist on daily fleet check at close of day by completing fleet check sheet

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Experience:

  • 1 year of quality or administration experience

Minimum Qualification:

  • NQF level 4 (Matric or equivalent)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Code 8 driver's license

  • Computer literate: intermediate level of proficiency needed on MS Excel and Word.

Essential to Note: The successful candidate must be willing to work overtime/shifts/weekends when required.

Overview

The Controller is responsible for company-wide financial reporting and reconciliation, as well as maintaining professional relationships with banks, insurance providers, CPA firms, and other key financial partners. This role requires strong project accounting experience, the ability to work directly with project managers, and a solid understanding of manufacturing environments, including job costing and inventory flow. The Controller will also assist the Staff Accountant with accounts payable, and ensure compliance with tax, sales tax, and treasury functions. A successful candidate must possess deep accounting knowledge, strong attention to detail, and comfort working both independently and cross-functionally. You will report directly to the CFO and be responsible for the integrity of all financial records, month-end and year-end closes, and the development and oversight of internal controls.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee accounting functions, including accounts payable, invoicing, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Provide direct project accounting support to project managers, ensuring accuracy in cost tracking, budget adherence, and milestone billing.
  • Collaborate with the Staff Accountant to manage day-to-day transactional accounting activities and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and record journal entries for assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses by compiling and analyzing financial data.
  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet, general ledger, and fixed asset schedules.
  • Ensure the integrity of all accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Manage monthly financial statements, budget reports, and variance analysis.
  • Handle banking relationships and oversee treasury management, including cash flow forecasting and fund allocation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of sales tax and other tax-related compliance items at the local, state, and federal levels.
  • Direct and support external audits, including DCAA cost audits.
  • Evaluate and maintain effective internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets.
  • Support implementation and compliance with lease accounting rules and cost accounting standards (CAS/FAR).
  • Lead preparation of quarterly and annual financial filings (e.g., with the SEC, if applicable).
  • Perform other financial and administrative duties as needed.
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Strong financial analysis and project accounting skills.
  • Experience supporting project managers with job cost tracking and reporting.
  • Detailed knowledge of government CAS accounting standards.
  • Experience with the Epicor ERP (preferred) or other similar accounting system.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including modeling and pivot tables.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • 10+ years’ experience in accounting/finance, ideally in the aerospace & defense or electronics manufacturing sector.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing company supporting production teams and cost accounting efforts.
  • Demonstrate experience in project accounting and revenue recognition using percentage-of-completion.
  • Experience with Epicor or similar enterprise system.
  • Experience with most lease accounting standards and FAR/CAS requirements.
  • Have experience supporting DCAA audits.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities
  • Receive, store, and dispatch electronic and appliance spare parts
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using Samsung’s system (e.g., GSPN or equivalent)
  • Coordinate daily part deliveries and returns with field teams and service centers
  • Monitor and manage stock levels to prevent shortages or excess stock
  • Process orders, transfers, warranty claims, and replacements
  • Conduct cycle counts and full inventory audits to ensure accuracy
