Hire Resolve has a client, which helps businesses reach their energy goals and is looking for Solar PV Construction Managers for both their Johannesburg and Cape Town branches.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere and maintain project Health and Safety site requirements
- Assess, accept, and give feedback on project engineering designs
- Assist in design of solar PV energy systems
- Assist with physical installation/construction works where required
- Assist with any operations and maintenance issues on all sites under SLA with NSE
- Development of department tools and documents
- Ensure all ISO9001 and ISO45001 compliances are met during construction
- Ensure codes and compliances of various installation sectors are met
- Feedback project learnings to the Engineering Department ensuring continual improvement
- Assist in handover of system to O&M department as per handover procedure
Requirements:
- A minimum of an electrical qualification
- Wireman’s license would be an advantage
- 3+ years’ experience in the solar industry (commercial)
- PV Construction installation experience > 300 kWp

What You'll Do:
- Assist the Site Supervisor in managing daily construction activity on a high-end custom home
- Monitor the progress of framing, electrical, HVAC, finish work, and other trades
- Serve as a communication link between subcontractors, suppliers, and the Jorgenson team
- Conduct site walks, track deliveries, and help manage daily logs and reports
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, job site cleanliness, and scheduling milestones
- Answer trade questions, help coordinate on-site solutions, and flag issues proactively
- Support documentation and project tracking through CoConstruct or similar software
What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in residential construction; custom home background preferred
- Understanding of construction sequencing, materials, and local building codes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A collaborative, problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
- Proficiency with basic digital tools (smartphone, tablets, CoConstruct, etc.)
- Reliable transportation and a clean driving record
- Willingness to be based in St. George for the duration of this project
Compensation & Benefits:

The main function of this role is to build and maintain a relationship with all on-site employees and Clients in the day-to-day running of the operations and to ensure that issues arising daily are managed and only escalated to the Operations Manager that are impossible to resolve without him.
