With over 65 years of multidisciplinary consulting engineering and project management expertise, Ingerop South Africa is looking to appoint a proactive and driven CAD Draughtsman / Civil 3D Designer to join our dynamic Water and Civils team in Bellville, Cape Town. This is a permanent position offering the opportunity to work on impactful municipal infrastructure projects within a collaborative and experienced environment.
Areas of responsibility
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following tasks:
- Collaborating with Project Managers and Lead Engineers on all design drawings
- Producing engineering design deliverables in AutoCAD Civil 3D, including:
- Pipe networks, road alignments, long and cross sections, earthworks, surfaces, and corridor modelling
- Infrastructure layouts, general arrangements, and detailed sections in both 2D and 3D
- Creating and managing Civil 3D templates, styles, assemblies, alignments, and profiles
- Applying engineering principles and standards in the preparation of accurate and consistent drawings
- Coordinating with internal and external disciplines, responding to design changes, and issuing drawings for review or construction
- Supporting projects, including coordination, file management, and CAD standards adherence
- Working independently in a fast-paced, multi-project environment while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines

Job Description
IKON is seeking an Engineering CAD Technician (N4–N6) to join our team in the East Rand of johannesburg.
This role is focused on CAD drawings, technical problem-solving, and project support in the aluminium window and door industry. While the position includes liaising with agents and clients, the core requirement is a technical mindset with CAD/draughting skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare technical drawings in AutoCAD.
- Convert schedules into accurate quotes and production orders (Bizman software).
- Provide technical support to agents and clients on product designs.
- Assist with R&D projects and custom solutions.
- Ensure quality and compliance on all drawings and orders.
Requirements
- N4–N6 qualification in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering.
- 2–4 years' experience in CAD/draughting/technical support.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; exposure to Revit/Inventor is a plus.
- Strong technical problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Organised, reliable, and able to communicate clearly.
