SummaryTo ensure company products are engineered to local market requirements by designing, developing, testing, and introducing locally manufactured components. This involves adapting German sourced designs to local environmental conditions and issuing technical data aligned with the component engineering standards to meet the following criteria:
- Problem-free product manufacturing
- Compliance with local content requirements
- Unique product features
- Safety and reliability in service
- Support for discontinued models still required in South Africa
- Adherence to the Product Emergence Process (PEP) manual
- Release of electrical components for vehicles
- Resolving design-related issues on local platforms
- Coordinating testing and release of components and systems
- Maintaining and updating the BOM system
- Performing problem analysis
- Cost analysis of components, systems, and projects
- Initiating cost-saving measures (PKO)
- Managing projects related to new or modified systems and components
National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering.
ExperienceMinimum of 5 years' experience in design and development of automotive components for volume production.

Duties & Responsibilities- Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with existing and new customers in the electronic engineering and manufacturing industry.
- Make appointments for daily visits to current and prospective customers to maintain and generate new business.
- Assist design engineers in selecting suitable parts for new designs.
- Identify and offer replacement parts for existing designs to engineers and buyers.
- Research sources and analyze the market for developing new potential customers.
- Organize and plan a personal sales strategy to maximize return and time investment.

- National Diploma or Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
- 3 years’ experience of Supplier/Quality/ Engineering experience on automotive components. (Development /Improvements/ Problem-solving)
