Electrocomp is a national role player in the electronic component distribution industry. We require a dynamic sales and engineering executive with an Electronic Light Current qualification to support and expand our business activities in Cape Town.

1. Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with existing and new customers in the electronic engineering and manufacturing industry.
2. Make appointments for daily visits to current and prospective customers to maintain and generate new business.
3. Assist design engineers in selecting suitable parts for new designs.
4. Identify and offer replacement parts for existing designs to engineers and buyers.
5. Research sources and analyze the market for developing new potential customers.
6. Organize and plan a personal sales strategy to maximize return and time investment.
7. Achieve growth and account penetration by effectively marketing all product lines.
8. Manage accurate forecasts and achieve targets.
9. Supply management with regular verbal or written reports as to customer potential, prospects, new products, competitive activities, requirements, lost orders, or problems that may arise.

1. A degree or suitable technical qualification in Electronic Engineering (Light Current).
2. Preferably three or more years of experience in the electronic engineering or related sales environment.
3. Fully computer literate, MS Office including Excel.
4. Good attention to detail and ability to complete projects.
5. An aptitude for sales.
6. Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Presentable and bilingual.
9. Valid drivers licence.

Requirements

• National Diploma or Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
• 3 years’ experience of Supplier/Quality/ Engineering experience on automotive components. (Development /Improvements/ Problem-solving)

Essentials

• Excellent communication skills to all levels.
• Ability to quickly learn and understand complex components/systems/networks.
• Good technical problem-solving ability.
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
• Willingness to travel

Added Advantage

• Mechatronics/ Mechanical Engineering qualification.
• Experience in driver assisting systems and e-Connectivity.
• Knowledge of both metal, automotive glass and rubber components.
• German and/or Portuguese language knowledge or willingness to learn

Possible Tasks within this Role

• The release of Body Department components and systems.
• The resolution of design related problems on all locally manufactured platforms.
• Keep accurate record of part level and software built in production (Bill of Material).
• Co-ordination of testing and release of components & systems.
• Initiate and drive cost savings on components into production

• Bachelor's degree in Experience Design, HCI, Graphic Design, Multimedia Design or related field.

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer or similar role.
• Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in Visual Design, including examples of web and mobile applications.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, etc.
• Solid understanding and practical application of UX principles and methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with motion design and prototyping tools such as Principle, Framer, or After Effects.
