**The opportunity**
Responsible to co-ordinate the Inbound and Outbound processes of the SC dept., by performing the order placement, inventory management and delivery process from approved Suppliers
Create and maintain Master data in the local and Global systems, pertaining to Logistics information required.
**How you'll spend your day**
+ Perform the order placement, receipt and scheduling process with identified Suppliers of Finished goods and components, based on agreed MOQ's and prices.
+ Develop and maintain good relationships with Customers and Suppliers.
+ Ensure data integrity in the Inventory files, tracking and updating with appropriate data, to track and control the incoming orders and shipments from Suppliers, Sites and DC's.
+ Match Invoices to PO's for approval by the HOS, also ensuring on time and in full deliveries, escalating issues as and when they arrive if they cannot be resolved.
+ Maintenance of filing systems for all documentation, to ensure quick retrieval system in the event of an audit.
+ Ensure local and global system data is correct and updated when necessary to reflect inventory and Supplier parameters, in alignment with the finance department.
+ Preparation of management information for weekly and monthly reports supporting the analysis of KPI information, pertaining to Inventory.
+ Financial month ends performed on ERP systems, balancing Inventory from DC's stock lists and managing adjustments accordingly, reporting any anomalies to HOSC when necessary.
+ Monthly updates / uploads of data to Global Share point files, pertaining to Supply Chain.
+ Support the business KPI's by ensuring that deliveries happen timeously, if not, that the escalation process happens to ensure no impact on Customer service.
+ Ensure accurate inventory at DC's, by performing Bi-annual and Annual Stock counts, balancing the inventories and investigation of variances.
**Your experience and qualifications**
+ Tertiary Education - B.Com degree or equivalent business management qualification.
+ 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar role in a Pharmaceutical or FMCG Global Company or Manufacturing company. SAP & Sage systems experience will be advantageous. Demonstrated knowledge and working experience in Supply chain manufacturing environment.
+ Advance Excel knowledge and experience required.
+ Ability to clearly communicate with all levels in the organization, written and verbal.
+ Strong Analytical capabilities and focus on detail

Purpose of the Role

The Senior Supply Chain Finance Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the Supply Chain Finance portfolio for the Middle East & Türkiye region. The role will coordinate and manage the supply chain budget, forecasting, and performance reporting, delivering actionable insights to drive operational efficiencies and enhance profitability. Additionally, the analyst will provide financial guidance on strategic projects and transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance standards.

Major Accountabilities

As a trusted Finance Partner, you will:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to analyze supply chain performance and identify cost optimization opportunities.
  • Lead financial planning activities including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Manage month-end close processes and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Provide strategic insights through financial analysis to support decision-making.
  • Evaluate working capital strategies, inventory management, and procurement processes.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and KPIs to support performance tracking.
  • Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Support transformation initiatives including capex investments and supply chain optimization.
  • Deliver financial evaluations for hire stock capex and MRP.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Operate systems such as SAP, Business Warehouse, and BRACS for robust reporting.
  • Prepare impactful presentations for business reviews and global requests.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Finance Degree – Essential
  • CA(SA) / CIMA Qualified – Desirable
  • 3–4 years of analytical business partnering experience in multinational environments
  • Experience in Commercial, Supply Chain, or Logistics/FMCG industries
  • Proven ability to work in matrix structures and remote teams
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience in building dashboards, scorecards, and management reports
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and presenting to executive stakeholders

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong command of financial tools and systems:
  • SAP, HFM, IFRS, Management Accounting, Data Analytics

Systems Business Analyst: Supply Chain
who will be part of a dynamic team, this role will report to the Technology Manager and be responsible for providing a holistic service and support to multiple business units within Ackermans.

We're a fully in-office team. This role is based at our Support Centre in Kuils River, Cape Town.

As a Supply Chain Systems Business Analyst serve as a critical bridge between Systems Teams, Business Units, Pepkor IT (PIT), and other third-party entities, this role focuses on employing a comprehensive set of techniques to propose systems and process enhancements.

By understanding and integrating warehouse and distribution center operations, including specific systems like Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), and other custom solutions provided by Pepkor IT, this position aims to advance the supply chain and logistics functionalities within Ackermans.

The goal is to enable various business departments to reach their objectives effectively, with a strong emphasis on improving supply chain processes, warehouse efficiency, and overall operational excellence.

Experience Required
Essential:

  • 2-5 years' experience Supply Chain and Logistics role within Retail, demonstrating significant experience with:

  • Detailed understanding and hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems and familiarity with ERP systems.

  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, distribution, and logistics.
  • Experience in optimizing warehouse layouts, improving picking, and packing processes, and enhancing distribution center efficiencies.
  • Proficiency in documenting business requirements and process maps specifically related to supply chain and warehouse operations.
  • Collaboration with IT and third-party vendors to enhance supply chain and logistics systems integrations.
  • Oversee comprehensive testing protocols for supply chain systems.
  • Lead projects focused on enhancing supply chain efficiencies, from system upgrades to process optimizations.
  • Develop and deliver targeted training programs for supply chain systems.
  • Provide ongoing support for supply chain systems.
  • System Architecture understanding (area specific – integration environment/technical competency)
  • Unified Modeling Language

  • Utilize UML to clearly depict and analyze supply chain processes, enhancing system designs and operational workflows within the warehousing context.

  • Basic Oracle / Structured Query Language (SQL) – Area specific

Qualifications Required
Essential:

  • Grade 12 Certificate/Matric
  • A relevant Degree and or Higher National Diploma (Information Technology, Computer Science, System Design, Management Science, Business studies, Information Systems, Business Analyst)

Preferred:

  • Project Management Diploma/Certificate

KNOWLEDGE required:

  • Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics principles, specifically within the context of Apparel Retail.
  • Expertise in Warehouse Management Systems and the ability to leverage technology to optimize supply chain processes.
