Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose, service, and repair commercial vehicles to manufacturer standards.
  • Perform advanced fault-finding using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Oversee and mentor junior technicians, ensuring quality workmanship.
  • Conduct pre-delivery inspections, safety checks, and warranty-related work.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer, dealership, and safety regulations.
  • Complete job cards, service reports, and related documentation accurately.
  • Support workshop efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Motor/Diesel Technician with Red Seal certification .
  • Minimum 5 years experience working on commercial vehicles (franchised dealership experience advantageous).
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to supervise and guide a team of technicians.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Valid drivers licence (Code 14 advantageous).

Must have Commercial Vehicle experience.

Must have experience on Multicat and Evolve computer packages.

This position will be suited to an experienced person who has the ability to attract clients, provide excellent customer service, and maintain high levels of sales on an ongoing basis.

The responsibilities of a Parts Sales Executive include the following tasks but are not limited to:

  1. Administration – to ensure all paperwork, documentation, requisitions are properly recorded within stock control system.
  2. To ensure that all credit sales are made to an authorised signatory of approved account.
  3. To keep all parts catalogues, manufacturers lists, etc. updated and tidy.
  4. Communication – to ensure warehouse manager/parts manager is kept aware of stock movement.
  5. To notify warehouse manager/parts manager of any difference noted when inspecting incoming goods.
  6. To maintain good helpful relationships with all customers and their representatives.
  7. Marketing – to assist if required in any marketing activity as required.
  8. Finance – to ensure all transactions take place according to company policy.
  9. To ensure security of all cash and cheques received.
  10. To ensure that the highest level of CSI is achieved.
  11. To conduct all transactions with customers with the utmost courtesy.
  12. To ensure the accurate identification of the customer needs.
  13. To receive & identify stock when delivered from the supplier.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualifications and Experience needed:

  1. Matric
  2. 3+ Years’ Experience as a Parts Sales Executive
  3. Commercial vehicle (Parts) experience
