Our worldwide field engineering team apply expert insights to real-world customer problems, enabling the enterprise adoption of Ubuntu, OpenStack, Kubernetes, AI/MLOps and a wide range of associated technologies. We are experts in the whole open source stack, from kernel to desktop, from cloud to the edge. Our team is also interested in business problems - building things reliably, efficiently and cost-effectively, and we have to learn to speak the language of our customers and their industries.

We help global companies embrace public and private cloud infrastructure, cloud native operations, and open source applications. For this team we are looking for several Alliances Engineers to support OEM (hardware manufacturers), GSI (global system integrators), ISV (independent software vendors), Channel partners and Public Cloud alliance partners. You will support various alliances and partners of Canonical to adopt our products and technologies, help business leaders to define joint go-to-market programs with partners from the technical standpoint.

Location : This is a home-based role, we are hiring worldwide.

What your day will look like

Understand Ubuntu, Linux, networking and services in real-world environments
Architect cloud infrastructure solutions like Kubernetes, Kubeflow, OpenStack, Ceph, and Spark either On-Premises or in Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Architect and integrate popular open source software such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, Cassandra and NGINX
Help partners to offer and architect joint solutions utilizing Canonical's technologies on top of the public clouds and in the data center
Design and publish joint Reference Architectures and perform technical validations with various partners
Prepare and run onboarding sessions/workshops with various partners' teams to promote Canonical products and solutions

If you have a passion for the latest open source technologies, cloud-native development, data center technologies such as Kubernetes and computer networking, you will love the Alliances Architect role at Canonical.

What we are looking for in you

Extensive experience with Linux (Ubuntu preferred), Kubernetes, Ceph, software automation
Experience designing and implementing solutions on top of public or private clouds
Python and bash understanding, troubleshooting skills
Fluent written and spoken English
Excellent communication and presentation skills
High motivation, ability to multi-task and follow-up reliably on commitments
Interest in customer-facing engagement, including pitching, demonstrating and understanding customer environment and needs
Interest in new technologies like LXD, Juju and Snaps
Ability to travel globally up to 30% of the time
Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or related technical field experience

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, operations) to ensure seamless integration of CCaS solutions with other enterprise systems.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in contact center technologies and cloud platforms and translate those innovations into actionable strategies.
• Provide thought leadership and guidance on contact center transformation initiatives, including process optimization, workforce management, and customer journey mapping.
• Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for CCaS architecture and implementation.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing contact center architectures, including micro-services-based approaches.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies and their application within the contact center domain.
• Experience in designing and implementing multi-channel contact center solutions across voice, chat, video, and social media.
• Experience in one or more relevant industry domains (e.g., insurance, utilities, healthcare) is a plus.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certifications in relevant CCaS technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Contact Center).

As a Cloud SOlutioins Architect manager in AI Business Solutions area you will the CSA's in the Customer Success Unit team in RSA to drive consumption and usage excellence in Workforce AI, Business Process Application and Low Code.

Responsibilities

You will deliver success through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and caring, living Microsoft’s values and culture and be responsible for attracting and retaining great people.
You will drive your team to provide thought leadership in identifying trends and proactively proposing solutions that drive transformative delivery across customers/partners. You also ensure adherence to Microsoft standards and recommended practices by setting expectations for the team around methodology and governance to ensure that the team identifies, communicates, and minimizes business and technical risks.
You will drive awareness across all levels of the organization of customer/partner challenges, industry trends, and competitor architectures to allow team members to engage with customers/partners, demonstrate Microsoft's value, and develop counter strategy.
Additionally, you will accelerate innovation by coaching teams on building and/or modifying intellectual properties (IPs) rooted in domain expertise and/or industry acumen.
Finally, you will model how to engage constructively and transparently with the technical and/or business community locally and globally.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 10+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting

OR equivalent experience

5+ years people management experience, including managing consultant practice managers, technical sales managers, technical architect managers, and/or people managers

Preferred Qualifications (PQs)

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 15+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting

OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 12+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
OR equivalent experience

8+ years experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external) or 8+ years experience leading technical projects, teams, or functions.
Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications)
8+ years people management experience, including managing consultant practice managers, technical sales managers, technical architect managers, and/or people managers
