Qualifications
Your Experience
- 5+ years of field sales experience focusing on key customer accounts and delivering value to commercial accounts in the cybersecurity industry
- Extensive platform selling experience in complex sales with multiple buying centers
- Experience selling SIEM, EDR, or CNAPP (DevSecOps, CloudOps) solutions is highly preferred
- Established trusted relationships with CIOs and CISOs with the ability to influence and drive strategic conversations
- Expertise in applying complex solution sales methodologies to drive results
- Experience working with channel partners and a deep understanding of a channel-centric go-to-market strategy
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment while collaborating effectively with sales engineers and cross-functional teams
- Experience operating in a continuous adoption, expansion, and upsell sales motion within a matrixed sales organization is preferred
- Willingness to travel domestically as necessary to meet business needs
- Fluent English

Role Purpose
The Business Technology Sales Manager is responsible for driving new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and achieving revenue growth through the sale of enterprise technology solutions. This role requires deep knowledge of
ERP systems, Core & Digital Banking platforms, Data & Analytics, Robotics, and AI solutions
, with the ability to articulate business value and ROI to C-Suite executives and decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute a territory and account plan to achieve sales targets.
- Prospect, identify, and qualify new opportunities in target industries (banking, financial services, telecoms, mining, government, etc.).
- Lead complex software sales cycles from lead generation to contract closure.
- Solution Selling
- Understand client business needs and position ERP, Digital Banking, AI, Robotics and Data solutions as value-driven enablers.
- Deliver tailored demos, presentations, and proposals to different stakeholders.
- Work with pre-sales, technical teams, and solution architects to design winning proposals.
- Client Relationship Management
- Build long-term trusted partnerships with executives, IT leaders, and business decision-makers.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to clients, helping them align digital transformation initiatives with business goals.
- Manage post-sale relationships in collaboration with delivery and support teams.
- Market & Product Knowledge
- Maintain deep knowledge of ERP, Core Banking, AI/ML, Robotics, Cloud, and Data solutions.
- Track industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory shifts to shape go-to-market strategies.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
Key Requirements
Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or related field (MBA is an advantage).
Experience:
- Minimum
5–8 years of IT software sales experience
in enterprise solutions in South Africa. - Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets in ERP, Digital Banking, or Emerging Tech.
- Strong exposure to
consultative/solution selling
into large enterprises and government. - Experience selling to C-level executives and navigating complex procurement processes.
Technical Knowledge:
- ERP systems (knowledge of SAP, Oracle, IFS, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
- Core & Digital Banking solutions.
- Robotics Process Automation (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, etc.).
- Artificial Intelligence & Data Analytics solutions.
- Cloud, Security, and Infrastructure services.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent
sales and negotiation skills
with ability to close large deals. - Strong
business acumen
and ability to link technology to business outcomes. - Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- High resilience, results-driven mindset, and strong problem-solving skills.
