The Stryker Clinical Support Intern responsibilities include directly supporting all Stryker products associated with Joint Replacement procedure. This role within Stryker SA will focus on servicing and supporting our clinical customers to strive for best in class specialist support with procedural excellence.
Additional responsibilities include working with the local sales team to coordinate training and events and managing day to day requirements of business support, ensuring Stryker delivers exceptional levels of service to our broad range of customers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: (Detailed Description):
- Servicing existing and new customer base within the theatre and clinical environment
- Providing theatre and wider HCP staff within depth training on Stryker products
- Working closely with other team members within the defined region, and the regional Sales Manager, to ensure customer service levels are best in class.
- Auditing theatre Stryker stock (implants, disposables and instruments), managing consignment inventory and ensuring good asset management practice
- Understanding the clinical application of the broader Stryker business to offer customers the best possible solution at all times
- Conducting trials and evaluations of products in both theatre and the clinical environment as and when required
- Additional responsibilities as directed by RSM (Regional Sales Manager).
- Implementation of training, provision of instruments and implementation of new Stryker business
- Plan, execute and monitor all measures necessary to help achieve industry leading support. Service and provide customer care for physicians, surgical theatre staff, and hospital administration and sterilisation departments. This will include working within a theatre and clinical environment.
- Demonstrates excellent product knowledge and professionalism with workshop
- Provides theatre and other HCP staff training on Stryker products. This could include organizing and conducting training workshops and events for a broad customer group.
- Reports to the Regional Sales Manager to ensure customer service levels are best in class.
- Communicates essential features and benefits of products and their clinical application.
- Demonstrates outstanding ethics at all times. Treat customers and other employees with respect and represents Stryker in the best possible light.
- Behaves with integrity, delivers on commitments within required timescales.
- Understands the clinical application of the broader Stryker portfolio to offer our customers an understanding of our wider product range.
- Conducts trials and evaluations of product in theatre and clinical environment as required.
- Makes observations of customer needs and liaise with sales colleagues to follow up on and introduce new or additional Stryker product and/or support.
- Maintains a basic business plan highlighting daily, weekly and monthly objectives.
- Develops an understanding of the local healthcare environment and Regional strategy
Qualifications/Requirements:
+ Preferable Technikon/university graduate with a qualification within the medical field or Biokinetics, Sports Science, BSC Anatomy/ physiology, Commerce diploma/degree etc
+ Preferable Driver's License
+ Preferable South African Citizen

Medipost Pharmacy is looking for 6 CCMDD General Assistants Clinical in the Production Department. The roles will report to the CCMDD Operations Manager.

Operational Management

Daily stats:

  • Daily requirement of a general assistant clinical stats minimum of 500 totes per day.
  • GA need to achieve the above mentioned daily targets each day.

Daily errors in picking:

  • Limiting picking errors to below 1.5% of your totes picked per month to avoid unnecessary time wasted to fix the miss picks.
  • Double totes found in one picking box.

Paying attention to detail:

  • The GA to ensure that the medication is picked according to the tote; this includes correct items, strength and quantity needed.
  • Focus is crucial to ensure all information corresponds with the tote, if all is correct the parcels need to be put on the appropriate shelf.
  • Ensure that you pick according to priority, or as instruction was given.

Order of boxes that need to get packed onto the shelf:

  • SLA gets packed first onto the shelf.
  • Followed by the back dates next to the SLA.
  • Lastly the new date gets packed next to the back dates.
  • GAs need to adhere to the SLA each day.

If there are no boxes, workflow will have boxes sent down and then the GAs will help pack totes into the correct boxes.

GAs need to prioritize their work.

When there are no totes:

  • When the General Assistants have picked the daily amount put on the shelf from workflow then workflow will confirm no more totes will get packed.
  • The GAs will then be sent to help out at other departments and only allocated personnel will stay behind to pick SLA live claims.

Scanning process of totes:

  • A GA may take a maximum of one line of boxes and then pick it and only after picking.
  • The GA will be required to finish picking the totes before fetching more boxes.
  • The picker may not start work and then leave the work and go out of the building.
  • The GA must ensure that they have not left any boxes behind and what they have picked has been completed.

Stock challenges whilst picking:

  • GAs may find empty bins whilst they are busy picking.
  • If a GA finds an empty bin, they need to circle the item name on the tote and then put To-Follow letters next to the item and place it on the picked shelves.
  • Most of the medication has alternative bin numbers.
  • The GA must ensure that they have checked every bin number listed on the tote for the specific item before writing it as a To-Follow.

Once the stock has been put into the box the person in charge of the To-Follow shelf will be responsible to put the box on the Fine-Pick shelf.

  • There should be no boxes on the floor.
  • No totes should be left by the computers.
  • There are allocated personnel who do housekeeping on a daily basis.
  • No medicine should be left on the floor.

  • Enforcing compliance to SOP’s Specific to the Post
  • Adhering to Policies and Procedures
  • Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical/Life Sciences

Under the direction of the appropriate licensed clinician, the Medical Assistant I (MA I) provides clinical care and performs clerical duties to support office/clinic functions. Will receive workplace education and training to assist providers and the healthcare team in the care of patients.

I . Major Responsibilities:

1. Escorts patients to examination rooms, take and record vital signs such as blood pressures, temperatures, height, weight, etc. Collects and documents patient health status, history, and documents and monitors patient progress following standard procedures .

2. Performs EKG’s, phlebotomy, Point of Care (POC) tests according to clinic/office standards .

3. May prepare, document, and administer non-intravenous injections as directed or required by office/clinic, within scope of practice.

4. Assists in performing routine physical examination or clinical procedures.

5. Reviews laboratory results and ensures abnormal results are immediately brought to the attention of the physicians and others, as appropriate .

II. Position Qualifications:

License/Certification/Education:

Required:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.

2. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Heart Saver (HS) certification from the American Heart Association. If not available upon hire, a BLS/HS must be obtained within 3 months from date of hire. If certification is not obtained within 3 months of hire, the employee may be terminated or employee may apply for another position for which they meet the minimum qualifications .

3. Medical Assistant credential, approved by the Massachusetts Department of Health (ARMA, NHA, etc.), must be obtained within 1 year from date of hire/transfer . If credentialing is not obtained within 1 year of hire/transfer, the employee will be terminated , or employee may apply for another position for which they meet the minimum qualifications. The Senior Vice President, Ambulatory Services may grant an extended grace period for employees with extenuating circumstances, as appropriate .

Unless certification, licensure or registration is required , an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
