RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow up with the target Region, establishing the customer database.
- Regularly communicate with customer to promote long-term cooperation and customer satisfaction through business visit, training, daily communication and interactions.
- Provide training and other sales support to satisfy customer’s business opportunities.
- Focus customer information collection and new channel developments in region.
- Establish and implement strategy of key region opportunities.
- Weekly review and follow up the business opportunities to plan.
- Coordinate product and marketing department to develop and implement product strategy for key customers according their requirements.
- Evaluate product promotion from business opportunities and output.
- Coordinate with marketing department to cooperate customer’s marketing activities according their requirements.
- Invite customers to participate in the company or National Distributor’s marketing activities.
MINIMUN REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 2 years working experiences in security industry / CCTV and worked as channel sales.
- Have great experience in creating, developing and managing relationships with customers.
- Strong analytical ability
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Ability to work independently
- Good communication skills, both orally and in writing
- Have own available vehicle
- Strong team spirit
- Have worked with people who have different culture background

Job DescriptionAs a vital part of it, in your role as Channel Sales Manager, South Africa, you will report directly to the Regional Director, and be responsible for selling Western Digital Storage Solutions.
- Desktop / NAS / Smart Video – HDD.
- Consumer Storage Solutions / External Hard Drives.
- Enterprise Storage Solutions
You will also work to maintain strong relationships with existing distributors and customers, to manage the operation of and grow market share in the assigned channels. In addition, you will be responsible for setting up the distribution network by identifying key System Integrators/Installers and Security Camera Vendors in the channel. You should have a strong IT background with channel experience along with strong business development skills and the drive and execution to take tasks from start to finish.
You must be able to travel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Achieve the quarterly sales targets. Work closely with Distributors, assigning them quarterly targets.
- Set the distribution network for WD Devices Business
- Identify the key System integrators/Partners and develop/build the market for the brand with a focus on Enterprise and surveillance business.
- Work closely with Distributors, and manage:
- Pricing
- Stock Distribution
- Orders and Forecast
- Payments.
- Develop strong relationships with existing System integrators through:
- Training
- Seminars
- Incentive Programs
- Build alliances with CCTV vendors to help develop and grow our surveillance hard drive business.
- Regular visits and meetings
- Responsible for building relationships and influencing the mind share of the customer to increase sales and market share while maintaining a competitive position and yielding the highest possible returns on sales.
- Collect, compile, and analyze information, i.e., competitive information, etc. to utilize in decision-making and business strategies.
- Work with and through other departments within the company to ensure that all sales activities meet/satisfy all business and/or legal requirements.
- Work closely with our marketing team to identify opportunities, plan for these opportunities, and execute them within the quarter.
- Use appropriate internal resources to meet customer requirements/schedules.
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience.
- 3 – to 5 years of related experience in a similar sales role.
- In-depth experience and understanding of the South African IT Distribution/Channel landscape.
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets and develop new business.
- Strong business development skills
PREFERRED:
- Experience with CCTV vendors and surveillance hard drive business.
- Retail and E-Tail Experience.
- Effectively uses sales process, tools, and qualification procedures.
