  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets for Coronary, Cardiac Rhythm Management, and Cardiac Surgery product lines.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities in both Private and Government accounts within KwaZulu-Natal.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including cardiologists, surgeons, hospital administrators, and procurement managers.
  • Drive account performance and identify areas for growth or improvement.
  • Manage the sales cycle from prospecting to closing, ensuring seamless customer experiences.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for Medtronic’s product lines
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and inventory management.
Required Knowledge and Experience
  • Minimum 4 years of sales experience in the medical device industry, ideally with cardiology-related products, and a proven track record of meeting sales targets and building strong customer relationships.
  • Relevant educational background, preferably a degree in Biomedical Sciences, Business, or a related field.
  • Clinical knowledge of cardiology and cardiac surgery procedures is an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within KwaZulu-Natal.

Performs a wide range of technical skills, which are utilized during a variety of Cardiovascular, Electrophysiology or Interventional Radiology procedures to provide an efficient, comfortable, and safe examination of all patients. The Technologist is proficient in all aspects of angiography, preparation, assessment, documentation and monitoring consistent with the policies, procedures and processes of the Cardiovascular Services department and Hospital Administration. Adheres to the guidelines and standards of professional practice associations. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

  • Follows CDC isolation guidelines, appropriately uses PPE, and performs hand hygiene according to accepted standards of care. Identifies and prepares patient using aseptic technique as dictated by procedure ordered. Exhibits awareness of hazards which may endanger patients. Ensures adherence to regulatory standards and enforces safety regulations. Annually meets all required department specific competencies.

  • Verifies orders and facilitates implementation, communicating with physician as needed. Performs treatments and administers medications according to policy and training. Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies. Evaluates effectiveness of interventions and medications. Performs within the bounds of the applicable scope of practice for Cardiovascular Interventional Technologists. Facilitates timely patient throughput.

  • Produces an accurately written, promptly completed medical record for each patient based upon the scope and complexity of the intervention procedure and patient clinical conditions. Maintains authenticity and security of the record, and follows prescribed process for amending documents


Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent in Cardiovascular Technology, Emergency Medical Services, Nursing, Radiologic Technology or Respiratory Therapy

  • Coronary intervention procedure experience

  • Experience in complex cardiac intervention procedures OR Experience in electrophysiology diagnostic and intervention procedures OR Experience in pediatric diagnostic and intervention procedures

Safely administers medications to patients according to hospital policy and procedures. Conducts second nurse verifications. Reconciles medication on admission and transfer.

Reports actual or potential medication variances as well as other patient safety issues utilizing risk master and communication chain of command.

Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.

Documents patients progress in the medical record on a regular basis including assessment and management plans.

Collaborates with medical staff and/or multi-disciplinary team to facilitate the recognition, research, isolation and resolution of potential patient care problems for assigned patients.

Provides effective handoff communication utilizing SBAR at change of shift during transfers and to assistive personnel.

Qualifications

  • ADN, Diploma and/or BSN
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
  • Current Basic Life Support-Certification
  • ADN, Diploma and/or BSN Required

The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth North Pinellas

The role you’ll contribute:

Directs/manages and provides care and safety of the patient while in the Operating Room utilizing the nursing process, to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care. By assessment of the individual patient and procedure, anticipates the needs of the surgical team and provides such services while maintaining an aseptic and safe environment. The dimensions of practice range from preoperative assessment to intraoperative intervention on to postoperative evaluation. Provides leadership and direction when working with a group of care-givers. Represents the Department of Nursing in a professional and courteous manner.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

· Assigns appropriate care delivery responsibility to caregivers based on staff skills and patient needs.

· Provides and directs nursing care for assigned patients.Assists manager in developing the unit schedule.

· Anticipates staffing needs for the next shift. Reviews 24-hour staffing coverage in collaboration with the manager and/or the shift director.

· Approves staff schedule change and PDO/vacation requests.
