Requirements
- University graduate with a 3-year degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field;

Duties & Responsibilities
- CONNECT AND ENGAGE WITH STUDENTS:
- Work on community initiatives designed to develop connections between students;
- SOCIAL PLATFORM:
- Manage and be active on the CampusKey Community Network;
- Educate and encourage students to use the Community Platform to explore the greater CampusKey community and be able to find resources and instructions to realize a higher level of self-sufficiency;
- EVENTS:
- Plan and supervise educational, professional, and personal development events based on students’ needs and requests;
- Assist with set-up and breakdown of events, including ordering food and beverages;
- Make posters for events;
- Supervise in-building events for compliance with the Student Community Guidelines and intercede or escalate issues as they arise;
- Obtain & prepare data analysis for events (determine success of events);
- Manage and plan the annual welcome programme for the students checking in;
- COMMUNITY HARMONY:
- Implement the CampusKey community guidelines with the goal of optimizing student experience;
- Resolve student complaints, issue fines, and prepare recommendations for termination of accommodation when warranted;
- SOCIAL SPACE MANAGEMENT:
- Conduct quality-control building walk-throughs to note immediate issues, preempt potential future issues, and identify areas for improvement;
- Manage the Mentor Programme;
- Manage the Social Responsibility Outreach Projects;
- MARKETING:
- Manage, plan, and execute the campus marketing strategy;
- Manage the local campus social channel and operate them within the brand guidelines;
- Create, collect and deliver digital content based on the marketing briefings;
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports on the community and identify areas for improvement.

Reporting to: Head of Student Recruitment
Job Purpose
The Marketing Consultant is responsible for engaging with prospective students and their families through outbound calls to promote NewBridge Graduate Institute’s qualifications and opportunities, while also supporting the student recruitment team through database capturing, lead collection, school engagements, and general marketing activities. This role plays a vital part in generating leads, scheduling appointments, and contributing to the student recruitment process to meet campus enrolment targets. The Marketing Consultant will represent NGI’s brand with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a student-centric approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Outbound Calling:
- Conduct daily phone calls to prospective students, parents, or guardians from provided lead lists or school databases to book interviews on the campus.
- Deliver clear, engaging, and accurate information about NGI’s programs, campus life, and application process.
- Follow up with leads to maintain interest and encourage progression through the recruitment funnel (leads to appointments to applications to registration).
- Identify and qualify potential students by asking relevant questions to assess interest and eligibility.
- To assist the Senior Marketing Consultant in categorizing and segmenting leads based on relevant criteria (eg: location, programme preferences, recruitment stage) to enable precise targeting for marketing and sales campaigns
- Update and maintain accurate records of interactions in the institute’s CRM and dashboard system.
- Contribute to expanding the campus database by collecting contact details from targeted schools or events (under supervision).
- Attend Career Fairs/Expos & Presentations to support the Student Advisor team
- Capture leads generated from school engagements such as presentations and career fairs and web enquiries onto the campus CRM system and Dashboard report
- Assist the Senior Marketing Consultant with ad-hoc administration
- Secure appointments for prospective students to meet with Student Advisors or attend campus open/registration days.
- Coordinate with the sales team to ensure seamless handovers of qualified leads.
- Act as a friendly and professional consultant for NGI, reflecting the institute’s values of empowerment, education, and support.
- Address basic inquiries about programs, fees, bursaries, and entry requirements, referring complex queries to the appropriate team member.
- To conduct interviews with students and parents at certain events in the year such as Open Days and Registration Days in a support capacity.
- Meet daily, weekly, and monthly call targets as set by the Vice Principal: Student Affairs and Senior Student Advisor.
- Contribute to team goals for applications and registrations by driving initial engagement with prospects.
- Work closely with the Student Recruitment team to align efforts with campus sales plans.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance product knowledge and calling techniques.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills with a clear, confident, and friendly telephone manner.
- Persuasion: Ability to engage and motivate prospective students, overcoming objections with tact and enthusiasm.
- Organization: Strong time management and record-keeping skills to handle high call volumes and maintain accurate data.
- Resilience: Comfortable with rejection and able to maintain a positive attitude in a target-driven environment.
- Teamwork: Collaborative mindset with a willingness to support team objectives.
- Tech-Savvy: Basic proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Office, and phone systems (training provided if needed).
- Education: Minimum of a Grade 12 certificate (Matric); a tertiary qualification (e.g., certificate or diploma) is advantageous but not required.
- Experience: Previous experience in telesales, customer service, or a call center environment is preferred but not essential—on-the-job training will be provided.
- Language: Fluency in English; proficiency in additional South African languages (e.g., Afrikaans, Zulu, Xhosa) is a plus.
- Driver’s License: Ideal but not required.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including peak recruitment periods (eg: information evenings or Saturdays during open days).
