What You Will Do:
Campaign Management
- Lead end-to-end operational execution of retail media campaigns, ensuring bookings, creative development, execution and compliance reporting meet client and internal standards

Troubleshoot campaign delivery and compliance issues, ensuring timely resolution

Stakeholder Management ans Collaboration

What You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media, Advertising, Business Management, Communications, or a related field; advanced qualifications are a plus
10–15 years’ experience in retail media campaign management and execution, either client-side or agency-side, with a minimum of 5 years in leadership roles
Proven experience managing cross-functional teams, including remote or multi-location teams
Strong expertise in digital and print campaign management and vendor/third-party relationships

Your key responsibilities will include:
- Project Coordination:
Keep marketing campaigns and client deliverables on schedule by collaborating with our design, web, and marketing teams. - Client Communication:
Liaise with clients, schedule meetings, and provide updates on project progress. - Document Management:
Organise and maintain documents and reports for easy access and accuracy. - Data Entry & Analysis:
Record and track campaign metrics, leads, and results to support data-driven decision-making. - Team Support:
Assist in daily administrative tasks, internal scheduling, and workflow coordination. - Software Management:
Use CRM and digital marketing tools to track leads, campaigns, and client activity. - Billing & Invoicing:
Support finance functions by preparing invoices, tracking payments, and assisting with reconciliations. - Social Media Scheduling:
Help plan and schedule posts across platforms to maintain brand consistency. - Creative Briefs & Scripts:
Write and develop marketing briefs, campaign scripts, and promotional copy for client and internal projects. - Market Research:
Conduct creative and competitive research to identify trends, audience insights, and opportunities for brand positioning.

Bar Keeper, a growing retail & e-commerce liquor business based in Cape Town, is looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist to join our team. Since opening in 2017, we've gone from strength to strength and are now expanding our digital marketing team with a dedicated performance role.
PPC & Paid Media:
- Manage and optimise Google Ads and Meta Ads campaigns to maximise ROI
- Develop creative and effective ad strategies tailored to seasonal promotions and supplier objectives
- Track campaign performance, report on results, and provide recommendations for growth
SEO & Website Optimisation:
- Research, plan, and implement SEO strategies to improve rankings, visibility, and traffic
- Maintain and optimise our WordPress website with best practices for performance and conversion

- Proficiency with industry-standard tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Ads, SEMrush, Ahrefs)
- Ability to prepare professional presentations for supplier feedback and reporting
- You take initiative and can manage projects from start to finish
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to lead projects independently — I started the website myself, and now I'm looking for someone who can take that initiative forward and drive it further
Details:
- Location: Cape Town, office-based 2 days per week (hybrid otherwise)
