A large manufacturing company is looking for an organised and energetic Procurement Officer with the following knowledge and experience:
Duties & Responsibilities- Process internal requisitions for local orders
- Placing and receipting of International orders
- Expediting orders, following up with freight companies and suppliers
- Sourcing of current and new products
- Plan and co-ordinate the freight movement and custom clearance of cargo
- Costing of freight and stock
- Manage communication between suppliers and production management team
- Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate best pricing
- Attend daily production meetings with feedback from suppliers or communicate any procurement issues or delays
- Certificate or Diploma in Procurement
- Strong PC knowledge and experience
- Must be able to work in a pressurised environment
- Good analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- A detail and action-oriented individual
- Knowledge of Syspro an advantage
- Experience with import procedures
- Forecasting experience

Purpose
