A well-known tyre retailer is looking to employ a Sales Manager to develop and implement the company’s sales strategy in order to increase revenue and grow market share through attraction of new customers, maintenance and retention of existing customers.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:- Plan and Organize Resources
- Manage Store Finances
- Sell Products/Services & Sales Opportunities
- Build Customer Relations
- Administer Reports/Documents
- Inspect/Test Product & Drive Cars
- Grade 12
- Additional relevant qualification would be an advantage
- Understand how to operate balancing machines
- Understand how to operate, install, service, repair, calibrate & test alignment machines
- Alignment of vehicles (technical adjustments plus interpretation)
- Knowledge of Alignment (interpretation of vehicle behaviour)
- Balancing knowledge
- Fitting and stripping tyre
- Identifying tyre/rim defects
- Product knowledge i.e. various suppliers tyres and rims
- Understanding tyre performance and specifications
- Wheel and tyre accessories i.e. lock nut systems, nitrogen, rim accessories etc
- Admin related functions i.e. cash up, invoicing, receiving cash etc
- Conducting enquiries (i.e. discipline, poor performance)
- Reviewing performance of employees
- High Attention to Detail
- Ability to work as part of a Team
- Reliability / Responsible
- Ability to Use Initiative
- Professional presentation of self
- Collaboration focused i.e. building relationships with suppliers and customers

Are you someone who can :
Provide product training and field most Independent Financial Advisor queries due to your in-depth understanding of Investments, Insure and other First Rand products.
Ensure Independent Financial Advisors are kept abreast of latest product and policy enhancements, changes, and offerings.
Proactively seek sales opportunities.
Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customers' expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate service and solutions to the Independent Financial Advisor.
Assist Independent Financial Advisor’s to expand their value proposition and grow their respective business.
Render administrative support to the Independent Financial Advisors, which includes but not limited to processing and servicing requests and quotations, for timely turnaround.
Facilitate interaction between Independent Financial Advisors and Product Specialist on more technical requests.
Keep up to date with competitor products, services and industry trends
You will be an ideal candidate if you have :
Bachelor’s degree in commerce or related field essential
RE 5 would be beneficial
At least 3 to 5 years of Broker Consulting experience within the Independent Financial Advisor and Investments space
3 years of experience in Life Assurance
Relevant Class of Business training.
Experience in and working with Group Risk, Individual Life and Investment products.
An affinity for sales, are highly motivated and client centric.
Have good attention to detail.
Are curious, innovative and willing to learn.
Willing to travel locally.
