Vehicle Diagnosis and Repair:
- Perform diagnostic procedures using BMW diagnostic equipment to determine the cause of vehicle malfunctions.
- Repair and replace defective parts, components, or systems, including engines, transmissions, and suspension systems.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues and ensure all repairs are completed to BMW standards.
- Adherence to BMW service standards & guidelines
- Perform routine maintenance services, such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
- Follow BMW maintenance schedules and service guidelines to ensure vehicle longevity and performance.
- Stay updated with the latest BMW technical bulletins, service manuals, and diagnostic procedures.
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs to maintain and enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and ensuring their vehicles are serviced promptly and efficiently.
- Accurately document all diagnostic procedures, repairs, and maintenance services performed on vehicles.
- Complete work orders and maintain detailed records for future reference and warranty purposes.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Keep the workshop clean and organized, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
- Proven experience as an automotive technician, preferably with BMW (preferred) or other luxury vehicles (Porche, Mercedes, Audi).
- A minimum of 3 years Technician/Motor Industry experience is essential
- Technician Qualification Red Seal
- Certified by BMW SA preferred
- Ability to read & interpret technical manuals
- Strong mechanical aptitude & attention to detail

Job Purpose :
To manage and maintain the automotive engineering stores ensuring efficient inventory control accurate record-keeping and timely supply of components and materials to support production and engineering operations.
Key Responsibilities :
Receive inspect and record deliveries of automotive parts tools and engineering components.
Organise and store items in designated locations ensuring proper labeling and safety.
Maintain accurate stock levels using manual and / or electronic inventory systems.
Issue parts and materials to production and workshop teams as required.
Perform regular stock takes and assist with audits and inventory reconciliation.
Monitor stock levels and raise purchase requisitions when required.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical stamina and the ability to lift / move parts and equipment safely
Forklift license (advantageous)
Qualifications & Experience :
Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent
2 years of experience in a similar storeman role preferably in the automotive or engineering industry
