  • Share best practices with customers of all sizes on the value proposition of , and conduct one-to-few and one-to-many workshop sessions to transfer knowledge to customers
  • Build deep relationships with our customers across the board and become a technical advisor solving complex challenges
  • Write or otherwise contribute to customer-facing publications such as whitepapers and blog posts

    Basic Qualifications
    - Knowledge of the primary aws services (ec2, elb, rds, route53 & s3)
    - Experience implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments
    - Demonstrated experience leading the design, development and deployment of business software at scale or current hands on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience
    - Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies as well as Integration of cloud services with on premise technologies from Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP etc.
    - Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (eg. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.), Scripting and/or coding experience as well as ability to travel to client locations when needed.
    Preferred Qualifications
    - 5+ years of IT implementation experience
    - Experience and technical expertise (design and implementation) in cloud computing technologies

    This role will focus on advising customers looking to enhance their business or operational outcomes through the use of Data and Analytics on AWS. In this role you will advise on architecture best practices, lead projects, manage customers stakeholders and conduct customer workshops and implement complex Data workloads with our customers and partners.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Advise customer’s technologists and business leads; help them to explore the art of the possible with Data and Analytics, and to develop scalable Data solutions on AWS to deliver business value in the most effective way
    • Discuss industry-specific business concepts with customer technologists and business leads especially in FSI, Mining and Retail
    • Deliver large, complex customer engagements across pre-sales and delivery from ideation, through architecture design and scoping, all the way to development, testing and roll out
    • Conduct workshop sessions to identify opportunities with our customers to scope how they could deliver business value through the use of Data and Analytics on AWS

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience
    • 3+ years experience in cloud architecture, designing and implementing cloud solutions.
    • Hands-on experience in developing scalable, high-performance data ingestion and engineering pipelines, performing complex data transformations across large datasets using Apache Spark API and SparkSQL to implement data lake architectures
    • Strong programming skills in both Python and Scala
    • 5+ years of experience with direct customer (internal or external) interaction with responsibilities in Data and Analytics solutions design, architecture and implementation (Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Lake House, Data Mesh, Data as a Product and Data Governance including Data quality and controls, etc.).
    • Ability to think strategically about business, solutions and technical challenges.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 3+ years Technical experience preferred, knowledge of Data Technology stack of AWS and integration with Machine Learning and Generative AI
    • Industry experience with key vertical markets such as Financial Sector, Telecom, Mining and Retail.
    • AWS Experience and Certifications, including implementation of cloud-based Data and Analytics solutions.
    • Ability to understand and educate customers on cloud computing technologies and workload transition challenges.
    • Advanced technology degree or AWS Professional level certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional) preferred
    • Deep understanding of AWS services across compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies
    • Knowledge of security and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR)

Hands-on experience in developing scalable, high-performance data ingestion and engineering pipelines, performing complex data transformations across large datasets using Apache Spark API and Spark SQL to implement data lake architectures Strong programming skills in both Python and Scala 5+ years of experience with direct customer (internal or external) interaction with responsibilities in Data and Analytics solutions design, architecture and implementation (Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Lake House, Data Mesh, Data as a Product and Data Governance including Data quality and controls, etc.). Ability to think strategically about business, solutions and technical challenges. Preferred Qualifications3+ years Technical experience preferred, knowledge of Data Technology stack of AWS and integration with Machine Learning and Generative AI Industry experience with key vertical markets such as Financial Sector, Telecom, Mining and Retail. AWS Experience and Certifications, including implementation of cloud-based Data and Analytics solutions. Ability to understand and educate customers on cloud computing technologies and workload transition challenges.     Xneelo is looking for senior full-stack developers to spearhead the development of our brand-new product: xneelo Cloud.

    Xneelo Cloud is a versatile, Infrastructure-as-a-Service cloud product offering scalable compute, storage, and network resources. This product is currently in beta, and is getting ready for full market release in the near future.

    This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that is launching a new flagship Cloud product for xneelo. Our initial launch is focused on the South African market, and rapidly building on the Cloud features to add ongoing value to our customers. Once this is achieved, we plan to expand to the global market.

    The Cloud product team is a close-knit, engaged, and productive group that is passionate about Cloud. As a developer in the team you’ll be responsible for building the tools, services and dashboards that our customers use to create their own virtualised environments.

    You’ll work closely with the infrastructure team, building on top of the underlying compute and storage infrastructure, powered by OpenStack and Ceph. Python is primarily used to build and customise our open-source dashboard.

    The Cloud team is also pioneering Go as the team's primary language, whereas Ruby on Rails is more widely used within xneelo. Other items in our tech stack toolbox are Typescript, React, k8s, Redis, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, and Gitlab to name a few.

    • Senior full-stack Web application developer
    • Strong API and database design and implementation skills
    • Self-motivated, engaged, and committed team player
    • DevOps and SRE thinking, secure coding, and overall end-to-end system ownership

    • Interest and investment in building a new Cloud product

    • Experience with Linux or cloud platform system administration

    • Understanding of and development using Containers

    Qualifications

    BSc or BTech majoring in Computer Science will be advantageous; however, your ability to demonstrate your in-depth understanding of web technologies and sound software engineering practices will trump a formal qualification. A minimum of 5+ years of software development experience. Minimum of 2 years supporting a large-scale application in an operational capacity.
