Job Description

The position requires an individual with strong administrative and communication skills with particular emphasis on attention to detail and professionalism. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, is a problem solver, well-groomed, well-spoken, fluent in English (read, write, speak, and listen), and has at least two years’ experience in a similar role in the aircraft maintenance environment.

Responsibilities
  • Updating all aircraft hours to the various Maintenance Tracking programmes
  • Producing daily/weekly Maintenance forecasts on the Managed Fleet
  • Requesting quotes from AMO’s based on upcoming scheduled maintenance forecasts
  • Coordinating downtime and scheduling aircraft maintenance slots between the Aircraft Maintenance Manager, RP:A, RP:FO, Charter Department and AMO’s
  • Supplying accurate 12 and 24-month maintenance forecasts to the RP:A for aircraft availability planning purposes
  • Populating Owner Reports
  • Assisting with AOC additions
Qualifications
  • English: read, write, speak, and listen fluently
  • National Senior Certificate (Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 years prior experience in a similar position

    About the Role

    The risk officer is part of the risk management team responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of risk policies and procedures in an organization. They also analyze various financial data to estimate the degree of risk and level of associated risk involved in extending credit or establishing a business relationship with firms or individuals.

    Responsibilities
    1. Ensure compliance to the Quality Management Standards through the QC Inspection process.
    2. Initiate and assist with all the necessary Injury on Duty (IOD) reporting and accompanying processes and procedures.
    3. Ensure that all accidents and incidents are reported and fully investigated and appropriate corrective processes are put in place.
    4. Promote and drive the SMART ‘continuous improvement’ culture through all levels of the organisation.
    5. Responsible for the day-to-day operational security and customer satisfaction through effective compliance and support.
    6. Ensure that security procedures are according to standards set within the Menzies Security Manual standards.
    7. Implementation of wide security standards and practices to ensure that the employees working on the ramps have the necessary direction and control.
    8. Establish and maintain an effective security liaison with the SACAA, Airport Authorities as well as other government and law enforcement agencies.
    9. Conduct Risk Assessments as and when required.

    The risk officer is part of the risk management team responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of risk policies and procedures in an organization.

    They also analyze various financial data to estimate the degree of risk and level of associated risk involved in extending credit or establishing a business relationship with firms or individuals.

    Responsibilities

    Ensure compliance to the Quality Management Standards through the QC Inspection process.
    Initiate and assist with all the necessary Injury on Duty (IOD) reporting and accompanying processes and
    procedures.
    Ensure that all accidents and incidents are reported and fully investigated and appropriate corrective
    processes are put in place.
    Promote and drive the SMART ‘continuous improvement’ culture through all levels of the organisation.

    Ensure that security procedures are according to standards set within the Menzies Security Manual
    standards.
    Implementation of wide security standards and practices to ensure that the employees working on the
    ramps have the necessary direction and control.
