The Automation Specialist designs, implements, and maintains automated systems and processes to improve efficiency and productivity. The successful candidate will identify and analyse existing processes, develop automation solutions, and ensure systems operate smoothly.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
BTech Degree Electronics / Programming and/or relevant qualification
EXPERIENCE
At least 5 relevant and /or similar experience in a similar role, in Automotive Manufacturing or Manufacturing
Technical training, programming , Robotics
TECHNICAL PRE-REQUISITE
Robotic Experience, preferably ABB and Kawasaki
PLC – Intermediate, including programming, fault finding and installation, preferably Mitsubishi and Omron

Duties:
Process Analysis – analyse existing process to identify opportunities for automation and improvement
System Design and Development – Design, develop and implement automated systems and processes using various tools and technologies
Testing and Validation – Thoroughly test and validate automation systems and processes using various tools and technologies
Trouble shooting and Maintenance – Troubleshoot and maintain existing automation infrastructure , addressing any issues that arise
Documentation – create and maintain documentation for automation processes, ensuring clear communication and understanding.
Collaboration with cross functional teams to identify automation need and solutions.
Conduct regular system performance assessments make recommendations for optimisation.
Performing cost benefit analysis to justify automation investments.
Generate reports on automation project performance and results
Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
Integrate automation systems with other systems or analytical tools
