What You'll Do

As our 
RPA Specialist

, you'll lead the automation of M-Pesa-related processes across multiple countries and drive general business process automation. You'll work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, build scalable bots, and ensure compliance across diverse regulatory environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, maintain, and optimize bot performance.
  • Develop solutions according to module designs and deploy using delivery pipeline

  • Design, develop, and deploy RPA solutions for M-Pesa operations across multiple countries.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities in finance, customer service, compliance, and other business units.
  • Analyze existing workflows and recommend automation strategies using tools like UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or Power Automate.
  • Ensure automation solutions are compliant with local regulations and data privacy standards.
  • Monitor and maintain RPA bots, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
  • Develop documentation, training materials, and support handover to operations teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with RPA trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve automation capabilities.

What We're Looking For

Core Competencies:

  • Process Analysis & Design – Ability to map, analyze, and optimize business processes.
  • RPA Development – Strong hands-on experience with RPA platforms and scripting.
  • Project Management – Ability to manage multiple automation projects across regions.
  • Regulatory Awareness – Understanding of compliance and data protection in mobile money.
  • Collaboration & Communication – Skilled in working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving – Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to challenges.

Knowledge & Experience:

·   RPA certifications are a bonus

  • 2+ years of experience in RPA development and deployment.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more RPA platforms (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism).
  • Familiarity with M-Pesa systems, APIs, and mobile money operations is a strong advantage.
  • Experience working in multi-country environments with varying regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, VB.NET) is a plus.
  • Experience in financial services, telecom, or mobile money platforms preferred.
  • Certification in RPA tools or process automation methodologies is a plus.
  • Multi-country operational experience is a plus

Our client in the IT industry is looking for a Business Process Automation Developer to join their dynamic team!

Description

The primary purpose of this role is to be a developer as part of the Business Process Automation (BPA) team. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Director of Information Technology and Digital Transformation to understand project requirements – as dictated by business needs – and work towards solutions to satisfy those needs. New technologies will be vetted through thorough research of the given technology, as well as conceptual implementations and proof of concepts, together with thorough documentation and best practice guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and implement software solutions within the company.
  • Provide internal and external client support.
  • Write and implement quality and high-performing code.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement software tools, processes, and procedures.
  • Conduct research and development.
  • Test and evaluate new technologies.
  • Identify areas of improvement.
  • Assist with peer review and code reviews.
  • Collaborate with developers from other teams to implement the best solutions possible.
  • Document software processes and solutions.
  • Follow strict source control procedures.
  • Measure and report benefits gained through the use of solutions.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Power Automate.
  • Proficiency in C#.
  • Experience with MS SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (advantageous).
  • Experience with UiPath (advantageous).
  • BSc/BCom in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 or more years of experience required.
  • Strong programming, business analysis, and administrative skills.
  • Logistics & Supply Chain experience (advantageous).
  • The ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English is a must. Other languages could prove useful.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Compile reports that track progress and guide business to make informed decisions.
  • Provide input into the development of the tactical strategy and develop and implement a supporting operational strategy.
